"Absolutely disappointed beyond belief. Why even bother opening and advertising that they do food? We really should have walked straight back out the door upon entering. But we had read reviews and really wanted to try this place. The staff were disinterested. Pointed to a table where we were to sit for our evening meal. We were given what can only be described as filthy sticky pieces of paper that were supposed to represent a menu. The table was dirty and sticky with drink stains. Nevertheless we proceeded to order 3 main meals. Over an hour later we still had no food and not once did anyone come over to the table to explain why. The place was by no means busy. There were 4 tables with customers! After approximately an hour and 10 minutes we asked if there was a time that we could expect our food to be ready. Bearing in mind our order was for baby back ribs, a steak burger and a chicken skewer. So not overly complicated. We were told that there was only 1 chef working!. And that the manageress would go and check for us. She returned to say that food would be ready in 5 minutes. Approximately 10 minutes later the baby ribs and steak burger arrived. We had to wait a further 5 minutes for the chicken skewer meal. When it did arrive the chicken was cold and absolutely cremated. So much so that the chicken itself had started to disintegrate and a powder of charcoal remains were on the plate. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Our entire party left all the food and we went to the bar to pay and left. Disgusted, disappointed, disillusioned and would NEVER RETURN"

"The impressive driveway leads to a stunning Georgian mansion that will definitely leave a lasting impression. Don't be deceived by the car park, as the best is yet to come! The mansion, built in 1722, is surrounded by 312 acres of picturesque parkland with lakes, situated on the River Uck. There is also a charming 13th century church, St Margaret the Queen, and a local cricket club on the grounds. Inside the church, you will find beautiful stained glass windows to admire. The rooms may not all be as spacious as expected, but they are airy and comfortable, some even with balconies. The suites, as seen in the brochure, are luxurious and spacious. Regardless of the room size, the grand staircases will make you feel like royalty. The staff are welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The Orangery and Fine Dining Room offer excellent food, amazing wines, and delectable desserts. Breakfast is buffet-style with a good selection to suit every taste. Guests can also enjoy the small gym, sauna, and spa. The ambiance of a bygone era, leisurely walks, delicious food, and gorgeous surroundings create a special experience. Whether you are looking for a dining experience, afternoon tea, short break, or wedding venue, this is the perfect place. The mansion is also conveniently located near other local attractions. "My husband decided to take me out on a date night and asked me where I wanted to go. After deliberation, I suggested Thai Terre as we could walk there from home and had only been in there once previously so it was time to try again. We ordered the mixed starters, then I had one of the Seabass dishes and hubby had a steak dish with all the lovely Thai herbs and spices. Pudding was The Royal pot and Fantastica. Their menu has lots of choice for all tastes and dietary needs. The quality of the food was excellent and really lovely thai staff too. Its not the cheapest night out but it was lovely"

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. We had to wait an hour just to place our order, then another hour for our starters. When our main dishes finally arrived, two plates were taken from another table and offered to us. Despite the food being touched by someone else, the waitress insisted it was okay because they hadn't eaten any of it. I found this unacceptable and requested fresh meals, but was met with reluctance. In the end, I left without eating and was still expected to pay the full price. It was a disappointing experience and not worth the £190 we spent on a family meal where only 4 people actually ate. I will not be returning."

"My experience at this restaurant was excellent. The staff was very friendly, the service was good, the food was delicious, and booking online was easy. There was also convenient free parking outside. I highly recommend trying the courgette fries! They had a variety of vegetarian options, and were willing to customize dishes if needed. The parking was free and there was plenty of space available when we went on a Thursday, though it may be busier on other nights. Overall, a great dining experience."
