Attentive friendly service. Really tasty but very reasonably priced menu with many choices. Open only for lunches which is a pity. Watch out for holiday closures ,call before going, can be full with good reason. Dreamon

at the bottom of a small village in the south, it is an address not to be missed under any pretext. the reception is warm and the kitchen (house) is excellent for a prize within reach of all the scholarships. a recommend without problem !!!

Great place hidden away in the centre of a small village - excellent find. Always a warm welcome, a little English spoken too if needed. Unusual option of two starters, one hot one cold plus a normal full packed Normandie déjeuner. Highly recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

Don't be put off it really is a restaurant and it really is open. It's like a tardis inside, great hospitality and a 5 course lunch menu for under 15Euros including wine or cider and with the plat cooked on the open wood fire. Always fun and great food, it is popular so bookings are a good idea.

Tucked away we heard about this place from friends who live here - we used to have a holiday home in the area for years and were unaware of it! Finally got there last year and had the most amazing traditional French food with great hospitality thrown in.Cannot wait to return when we visit in October!

Just visited with friends, what a place, superb ! Certainly worth making the effort to visit. Great open fire place where the meat is cooked. Good and service excellent. We are very fortunate to live not far from the wonderful Chez Agnes. If you are looking for traditional rustic French food then this is the place to go. The meat is cooked on a large open fire inside the restaurant and the smell is just amazing. Five courses including wine for under €15. We always take friends here and they are delighted with the experience. Good home cooked food, great service and excellent value for money.

The outside of this place is not very impressive, but once through the doors you will be in for a treat. Every day there is a wood fire at the back of the very large room, where the grilled meats are cooked. For the full menu you are offered a choice of cold starters, then there will be a hot starter, usually one of fish (the cassoulet is scrummy) and the other choice maybe something like gammon in sauce. There will always be at least one dish of the day. The Pot au Feu is especially good, as is the Boeuf Bourguignon. Walking into a new restaurant for the first time you don't really expect to be greeted with handshakes from ALL of the staff but that's the way it is at Chez Agnes. To say that you will receive a warm welcome is an understatement. Instantly, you feel valued as a customer and very much at ease.There are few frills in this establishment, though it is a very nice place. It would appear to be open only for lunch and the menu complet consists of a cold starter, a hot middle course, a main course, cheese, dessert and coffee - and all for the modest price of just 14 euros 50.
