Chez Fabien - Speisekarte

This a MEAT restaurant and a good one at that. Nice cuts well cooked and served. Service impeccable, all in all good value for the money.

Found the place somewhat by chance. I had L'Escaegout and Tartare. Both great. My wife had ribs which was tasteless. Don't go there. The kids had meat and we're satisfied. The staff wanted to recover the ribs but the second try still not great. Go for the meat / beuf instead.

Great diners for the nine of us. We had the famous, unusual, delicious burger, the magret de canard, the lamb, the roasted chicken. Arrived without reservation. Very friendly staff and quite good choices with two set menus in addition to the à la carte. I chose the menu à 35 EUR with escargots, Rossini burger and café gourmand. The beef could be a little juicier but OK as it was and the foie gras was perfectly done. The glass of Rhône recommended went down well.

Sat at a cafe looking for a Chinese, the waitress recommended Chez Fabien, and as we could not decide, we went. One of the best decisions we ever made. The whole experience was amazing, the staff fantastic the head chef, having a drink with him after food, yet the wagyu steak he cooked us was to die for. If you are ever in Nice this is a must try. Thanks for a great evening.

Our family of 5, (with 3 young children) arrived at 7pm on a Saturday evening w/out a reservation and were fully welcomed. Friendly, efficient service and with good English and English menus. Food is authentic French. A range of roast meats perfectly prepared. We had the lamb shoulder, our children shared the mixed grill with chicken, ribs and fries. The creme brûlée dessert was superb.Lovely little pocket of Nice with a good atmosphere and vibe, without being too busy.Highly recommended.

Went here last weekend, the last weekend of September for dinner with my family. Service and food were great, the truffle burger it to die for!!! There were lots of locals there with their little dogs asleep under the table and it had a really lovely relaxed feel at the same time as being of a very high standard of service and food. The wine list was pretty good too and it's an easy walk from the port and the old town-highly recommend if you want to get away from the huddle and bustle of the cour seleya!

I think I will give chez Fabien the benefit of the doubt and revisit. Very welcoming staff and it got busy. We sat inside as the terrace inevitably fills up with smokers. The restaurant was actually cold. But it is January...They did not have the red wine we wanted and substituted a very acceptable alternative. But I always prefer it if they tell you what isn't available beforehand. Similarly with the food. The médaillon de veau looked a bit lonely on its own - they explained that it was the only one they had left - they should have mentioned this. This is a delightful restaurant in a calm lovely square just a minute from Place Garibaldi, near Old Town. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the chef/owner later invited us in back to watch him prepare desert as he does every day, and gave us samples of his homemade whipped cream. But here, meat is the thing. We ordered chicken burgers for lunch--and were delighted to find that they were not tasteless ground meat, but moist flavorful pieces of sliced rotisserie chicken layered on a great bun and topped with a big slice of crispy skin!
