"The main reason to visit restaurant Chez Gaston is the beautiful terrace with view on the lake. Of course we couldn 't resist the opportunity to have lunch in such gorgeous surroundings. The waitress brought our menu very quickly. My boyfriend and I both wanted to...order the plat du jour , some freshly caught fish, which was mentioned on a separate menu card. Sadly the waitress informed us that the plat du jour had already sold out. At a quarter before one o ' clock! I could hardly believe it! When asked if the fish would be substituted by another dish, she said no. Why advertise this plat du jour if it is already sold out? We felt mislead. Alter this disappointment I ordered a simple risotto and my boyfriend a pasta dish. I have to be honest: both dishes were mediocre at best. My risotto was very bland tasting. Sure the terrace and the view are lovely, but the food is really not worth the money you pay for it."

We had a dinner in Chez Gaston out on the terrace with a nice view on the lake and the sunset. We found the service to be be fast and pleasant. The food was good and well presented.

Ich war überrascht, weil alle Fleischgerichte so fantasievoll und kreativ waren, aber vegane Optionen sind ein typisches Kaninchenfutter ... Man zahlt viel Geld für ein Gericht mit halbgekochtem Gemüse.

We celebrated our wedding reception here on May 23, 1993. This restaurant is part of Eden Palace au Lac Hotel. We returned a few times last summer to see the venue again. The views are stunning. We went with my husband for a date dinner without kids and had a great time. The food is excellent and the service is just perfect (that is rare in Switzerland). The veal is just delicious and the lamb you should try too. I'm not a desert person but took a berry soup with yuzu ice cream that is just delicious

We stopped by the Eden Palace as it is a good few years since we last visited. As it was a gorgeous day we were very lucky to get a table on the terrace. Nice food not superb just ordinary and sadly served without...a smile. Everything would probably taste nicer if served with a smile. Very disappointed as we had made a special visit here.
