Chez Marcel - Speisekarte

Discovered this restaurant by chance decided to try it for lunch. Delicious food, good wines friendly, happy but very professional staff. It was a real pleasure to eat there I will definately be returning.

We sat there just for a coke but we saw all the advices with the food and we decided to go for the formula. Food delicious well served and all in the city center, taking fresh air. The staff was very kind and professional too.

Great food, and beautiful atmosphere. Location was central, and offers a wide variety of classic French and modern French food. Confit de canard was FANTASTIC. We had a lovely lunch at this restaurant. Brilliant from start to finish. The service was excellent. The food choice too. I had a well priced menu with a fabulous salad and gorgeous dessert (enough to share and my partner had a great fish dish....The ambiance is amazing. Just off the main square: not to be missed!

Typical french bistro in appearance and menu and for service too when it comes to that Food in places was very good .....lovely fois gras with apple two ways and then the steak tartare was near perfect..but the ceaser salad had lumps of raw garlic...and the waiter forgot our water order...so not perfect but not that far away Oh and couldn't use the toilet as ladies who were not customers were using it to try on their frocks.....

We arrived at without a reservation for a lateish lunch, which was just as well because the place was packed, and we took a table recently vacated. As usual in France at lunchtime, service was very rapid and efficient, but here with a personal...touch. Seafood ballotine and pork risotto delicious. Decent bottle of Gaillac. Although we lingered over our coffee in the now empty restaurant there was no question of us feeling hurried. Rapport qualité/prix excellent. I’ll definitely be coming again. Speisekarte ansehen

I went there to have breakfast, it's the cheapest one I've come across here. For you get the standard petit dejeuner (cafe/tea, orange juice, bread, croissant, butter and jam). They have a great selection of teas (comptoir Richard). The waiter (Marcel was very friendly....I've had a look at the menu, ample choice of dishes, however, I couldn't spot anything vegetarian friendly. But if you don't have any dietary restrictions, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. It's also super close to the place du capitol

Happened on the place looking for a simple decent lunch. Service good, comfortable ambiance and lots of choice of plats and menus. Sadly the lasagne on the course menu might have been good when first cooked, but my portion had been reheated several times...(dry and crisp around the edges) and wasn't even hot. The salad with it was dry (no dressing) and tasteless. My husband's chicken fillet with chips and salad was ok but no better than that. Desserts good, Choice of wines by the glass ok. I wouldn't try to find the place again.

Nice and quick lunch in this typical but very modern French restaurant. My girlfriend ordered an entrecôte which was ok and I had moules mariniere.... probably because I always take them, I was expecting something very good but obviously not the best decision this time....There was not much sauce which you expect with this dish and not much flavour too, therefore I have eaten much better. However there was quite a few desserts on display which looked all good and we ordered a couple of them to share. They were both amazing and I have to say that they made our day! The service was good too, quick and efficient! Overall a nice day but the food to be revisited... Speisekarte ansehen
