Hands down the tastiest Chinese I’ve ever had. Food was served in under 20 minutes as well! I had the sweet sour tofu with boiled rice but there was a whole page of vegetarian/ vegan dishes at the back

Staff will be happy to answer questions about what is vegan and like to fit dishes. There are also many options on the menu. To take away, I had to bump into black bean sauce and salt and pepper chops. I also had some of the veggie spring rolls.

The menu offers a wide variety of choices. For takeout, I ordered tofu in black bean sauce, salt and pepper chips, and some veggie spring rolls.

All, but an employee are a little clear about what is vegan (been served egg noodles as vegan and later confirmed by the owner they are not) so you must be very specific at the order. Most of the staff at the restaurant seem to be unsure about what vegan options are available. I was served egg noodles labeled as vegan, only to later find out from the owner that they were not. It's important to be very clear when placing your order. However, the mixed vegetables with cashews, chow mein, and fried rice were all tasty. Additionally, I found that most of the vegetarian menu items are also vegan-friendly. Updated review as of August 18, 2022.

It was a few months back, but the food in the menu didn't have a separate vegetarian menu just for taking, so I asked what was vegan and when I explained what that was, I was told nothing except one or two dishes, so I was really confused, but finally came another waitress who was knowledgeable, so I was able to order a meal, but I felt also was really getting expensive for what was needed. However, this is Callander and there is not much to eat there. Finding the pub that no longer serves food in the following night, I got a takeaway. No problem ordering what they reminded me.

A few months ago, I visited this restaurant and found that there was not a separate vegetarian menu for dining in, only for takeout. I inquired about vegan options, but was initially told that there were only one or two dishes available. Eventually, a different waitress who was more knowledgeable helped me order a meal. However, I found the meal to be expensive for what I received - a Szechuan tofu dish that was lacking in vegetables. Despite this, options in Callander are limited, as I discovered when the pub no longer served food the next night and I had to order takeout instead. Luckily, there were no issues with ordering takeout as the staff remembered me.
