"I had my first taste of eating today. faster and courtier service, it was obvious that eating was prepared before spot and very fresh. I ordered the pulled swarm, the brisketburger and the hawn with a wedge. sharing this with the family, there was a lot to go and there were 4 satisfied people. pulled pork tender and damp, brisket burger boiled exactly right, cheeky, and that huh had an amazing taste, I have commented how the chicken skin doesn't look sharp enough, but as I ate it, I had to change my mind, beautiful and crisp with a lot of taste. keep the good work, can not wait to see what is next."

"Called by for Sunday lunch today on the off chance of a free table. We had heard that the Red Alligator can get pretty busy on a weekend. Staff and landlord were welcoming and friendly. Carvery was excellent for £6.95. We had pork which was delicious and the vegetables did not disappoint along with the fab Yorkshire puddings. Thought I'd over done it with the portion on my plate until I saw how much the couple next to us had piled on theirs. How it stayed on the plate was a marvel of construction. Great experience and we will definitely go back to try the midweek menu."

"I struggle to come up with an original review of Chang Thai restaurant in our home town of Bishop Auckland, but here goes. Outside of koh samui, pataya, Koh lak, Hua Hin.. For authentic Thai food, there are very, very few places... In England that...can produce original Thai food, not fancified. Not messed about with to satisfy a new wave of diners or try to fuse, western and Eastern.? If you want a piece of Thailand in a cold and rainy part of the North East of England.... Just book a table here. I cannot praise this establishment enough. DO NOT CHANGE.... for anyone!!! Well done."

"Friendly village local pub and restaurant. Fresh food is First class and very reasonably priced with good portions of great British fayre. Place is spotlessly clean, always a smile from behind the bar from Ian, Joanne and Lee, Caroline is our favourite waitress and Sophie the chef cooks steak to perfection. A very happy welcoming place buzzing with lighthearted banter that has a special magnetism which draws you back time and time again."

"around 19 clock on new years advised eve as per booking. another table. later, two more couples came up in a total of 4 tabs. room was freezing, so they had to ask to put heating. had to ask her to write music to drink something. no waiter service. ordered food for 4 of us at 19:30 o'clock. an hour later no food had arrived. another table complained and suggested that they should bring poppadome out, so we have some of them with the pickle tablet, waiter it fell on the table and spilled over table cloth and man. At 9 o'clock we followed our food order, as no one had updated us. the other table of 8 people had not received any food. the restaurant took the pickup orders over the phone, but was not worried at all about the 4 occupied tables in the restaurant, which all had received no food in 2 hours. Finally we left the restaurant after over 2 hours after we had not received our meals. they had the good idea not to invite us for the drinks we had, but no excuses and no explanations. will never return to this restaurant because the service did not exist and the limited staff was not interested at all."
