"I read the reviews for the restaurant before we came which had all been raving however sadly this wasn 't our experience. The setting of restaurant was amazing especially in 'The Cave ' room, however the service and food were below par. We were a group of 6 for my friends hen do and the servers made us feel awkward to ask for small adaptations, like to have a slightly smaller portion of pasta even though we were happy to pay for full, or to have starters before mains instead of all together. This was slightly weird but we were ok with it. Food was nothing special sadly which was a great shame. Carbonara was far too al dente and I like my pasta al dente, also lamb chops were just mainly fat. Our plates were not cleared for at least an hour which wasn 't great despite us trying to catch the waiters attention. Then when we went to pay they made it awkward and asked why we didn 't think they deserved a tip. This overall just put a dampener on the mood and it was my friends hen do and given I had heard such great things I was disappointed overall in the experience and wouldn 't recommend people to go. We may have gone on an off night but still not great."

Old fashion, food was OK (not more) but my request for another sauce with the pasta forgotten, sticky inside, in general not so friendly atmosphere also between the waiters, didn't feel very comfortable

I've never had a restaurant with a museum. First of all tables outside the square, on the basement of the halls that are the remains of the theater of Pompey. The staff is prepared and professional, food is typically Roman and is good. The affordable prices

the truth is that every time I recommend a place in the rome for dinner is this. from Pancrazio was a discovery, a restaurant in a small square near the flower field, which is not built anything more and nothing less than on the ruins of an ancient Roman theater! It's a luxury. we celebrated there the end of the year dinner and it was really amazing, an environment that is impossible to imagine in any other place, even the price is great! super conscious.
