"Friday Lunch between meetings..looked good from the window of grilled vegetables and platters. Once in it all fell down from there. Appauling service..four waiters all chatting..quiche was non plussed by salad was literally lettuce and tomatoes plonked on a plate then wine came after food...and the bread never came. I have walked past here many times and thought I would give it a try. Big mistake wish frnkly I had gone to Benugo next door. Or Gregg's quite frankly. S I wrote the waiters are still chatting and totally absorbed in their gossip.."

The restaurant atmosphere is a bit weird in between the waiters, however the food is excellent and healthy. I've been there many times and tried several dishes and they are all always delicious. I would recommend to go for a takeaway lunch, simply because the...prices are a lot lower than when you eat in the restaurant.

Finally a good place to eat decent Italian food at a decent price. Italian owner and waiters which does make a difference. Always a place of choice for a quick lunch/meeting. Wine is good too and it doesn't have to be the expensive choice! Only...downside: a bit noisy when the front door stays open... Old st is a busy road!

We had just arrived after traveling in from the US and checked into the flat we had rented nearby. Very warm welcome, Ansel quickly put together a cheese board and other nibbles that were perfect with our wine. My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant the first day in London fighting jet lag and looking for a mid-afternoon bite and rest. The owner greeted us warmly and was wonderful. The food was great. A wonderful wine selection and a few good beers....We enjoyed it so much that we dragged friends back for dinner another night, and we were not disappointed.

Wow,what a find! We were taken here by our family having completed our Russian visa applications nearby. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Service was efficient and our drinks were brought promptly while we selected our main courses-Spaghetti with clams, Spaghetti with meatballs,a Carbonara...dish with side salad, and Risotto with prawns,peas and baby tomatoes-delicious. Desserts were also of a high standard- Tiramisu and Raspberry cheesecake.
