"This was a great find away from all the major tourist spots. A local friend had said to visit the village as locals tended to frequent for local fish at more reasonable prices We had an early supper that was generous in portion size and great value Mixed salad also included walnuts and raisins a lovely plate of salt encrusted pimentos padron were good. Razor Clams and fried squid also hit the mark Only black mark were the rather stodgy croquetas that came served with some chips. "No reservations allowed even though their web site gives a telephone number to make a reservation. Change the web site please save wasting my time and yours. There are almost 20 restaurants in Tajao dedicated to fish and the art of charging by weight ranges from 19 euros to 23.euros the latter is the charge used by Las Arenas. We decided on a whole fish 1.kilo 600 grammes plus a small piece of squid and some white bait total 2.295 in weight and a hefty price of 52,79 euros for two persons. Yes it was tasty even though the fish had not been cooked on the griddle with the usual garlic so a bit insiped. No white fruity house wine, offered a bottle at 17 euros way overpriced. Water ,bread,wrinkly potatoes that were a bit mushy,one dessert to share and two small coffees. Grand total 80,94 euros. on average you pay for the same in other restaurants in Tajao 50-60 euros. Would we return in a word NO other establishments offer the same and take reservations for the terrace which is the rule because of Covid-19 at the moment."
