"I went to this intimate little neighbourhood restaurant with my partner for her Birthday. It was a long weekend trip in Paris in the Pere Lachaise environs. Honestly it was fabulous. The food was great, the menu was relatively well priced (for what you got certainly good value, although you are paying for top quality food!). We did the wine pairing too so we really splashed out. I have to be honest and say I wasn't aware that it was Italian, to me most of the dishes seemed rather French. However, you can't go wrong if you are eating food from two of the greatest (if not THE two greatest) Gastronomic Nations. It isn't the easiest place to find and you have to book well in advance. The service is really great, the wine menu is large enough for variety, but not intimidatingly biblical. You will get some slightly more off-piste options (Brain, Sweetbreads etc) but if that doesn't phase you then you will get the most out of this restaurant. My Partner and I are "well up" for this sort of thing so it was great. I think for the 7 course tasting menu, coupled with matching wines and all the trimmings it was EUR300. So it is a rather pricey place to go. However, it wouldn't surprise me if this place was challenging for a michelin star at some point as the presentation, consistently good food and great atmosphere have all the hallmarks of a one star to be. It was a while since we went, but it is still fresh in the memory. You won't be disappointed and the popularity speaks volumes. Look at The Paris Kitchen blog for other similar such places. It is a good starting point for your own research."
