"In the restaurant guide of Bertinoro this is called an Elegant Restaurant . This is definitely true and you can enjoy a nice view of the valley from the large glass panes. Unfortunately, prices are upscale and in my opinion not proportionate to the food (or service quality. We went there as a group and our host made the mistake of asking the waiter to bring us some entrees , without telling them what to bring. So we got some bruschette with tomato and a slice of bacon and some vegeterian ones. Both kind not really bringing any enthusiasm even to non-italian palates, then some plates of mortadella and some cuts of coppa and prosciutto. All were the cheap ones. As for the gluten free this was different, as this was a specific order that I made for lardo di colonnata and culaccia (a good cured ham . That was good but was ordered specifically. The fresh cheese they also brought was ok but not really special. The first courses were ok. For the gluten free menu was red Rice with fresh cheese (stracciatella and tomatoes. It was good but I wouldn 't say special. Then some of us had some tagliate (sliced steaks which were tender but not really juicy (one was asked to be prepared medium but all arrived medium . The accompaning roasted potatoes were good. Several bottle of wine and water (in small bottles! were brought to the table (but we were 15 . In terms of service the waiters disappeared between the courses, one had to call their attention several times to get more water. This was kind of annoying. The interesting, and not so good point for an Elegant Restaurant , was that the main dishes in the menus were all essentially dishes that are easy to prepare on the fly, a similar things could be said for the entrees. The telling point is always the dessert. The creme brulé had corn starch in it (should be only eggs and the sorbet, well, it wasn 't a sorbet!!! The hallmark of a low food quality restaurant without proper kitchen staff is a sorbet made with a neutral milk base, which is then doctored with industrial flavors (or possibly alcohol . Sorbets should only have sugar syrups and fruits, at most with egg whites for a smoother finish. The only problem is that true sorbets cost more than fake ones... As the food was reasonable a medium score is fair enough."
