"My husband and I stayed for one night there and enjoyed it very much. It is so charming and lovely, in a woodsy area right next to a bubbling stream, there is a hiking trail right across from the road, and additional hikes nearby. The guest rooms are upstairs of the restaurant, our room was rustic but clean and comfortable, with completely modern showers and plumbing. Our hostess was very nice and accommodating. We went to town for dinner but when we returned we stopped in the restaurant for a drink. The restaurant also had a charming, cozy feel, and the food looked and smelled great, I wish we did eat dinner there. We had a nice breakfast arranged for us in the morning, simple but delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this place, it feels old-fashioned and authentic, yet updated with the advantages of modernity. Such a gem."

"En forêt vosgienne, à 1/4 d'heure de marche des ruines du château du Spechbourg, cette Auberge, accessible en voiture, on vous servira avec gentillesse des plats cuisinés sur place tellement copieux que toute idée de marche après est à exclure. En plus vous aurez le choix entre 4 entrées, 4 plats principaux et 4 desserts. Seule ombre au tableau, vouloir servir deux groupes de marcheurs soit 50 personnes, prendre toute les commandes individuellement, assurer le service à deux et en cuisine essayer de suivre les commandes avec un cuisinier en moins, gravement accidenté le matin même, un tour de force que la responsable, Tatiana, a essayé de maitriser, mais malgré tout l'attente entre les plats était bien longue. Dernier conseil aux petits appétits, ne prenez pas d'entrée, ou a partager à 2 ou à trois."
