Fort Cafe - Speisekarte

after an early morning walk this was an ideal place for coffee cake very happy ladies offer a good service very cuddly place with groups of cyclists great location would visit again if next in sidmouth

I no longer live in Devon so I don’t get to see my family that often and I really miss the seaside. Being able to go with my grandparents looking over the sea was amazing! The service was excellent as well quick and friendly also!...Would recommend to anyone local or travelling to Sidmouth!

Terrific spot on Sidmouth’s spectacular waterfront. Fantastic full English, with all sorts of variants. Good coffee too. Staff didn’t mind us asking them to turn down the somewhat overloud music good on them. You don’t often hear about Sidmouth but it’s an attractive place...worth spending a couple of hours in if you’re in that part of the world; it’s flanked by impressive cliffs coming down to the sea, has a cute, historic centre, and offers a fine walk along the waterfront. After a lovely stroll along sidmouth beach I stumbled across the Fort Cafe literally a stones throw from the beach I only went in for a cuppa but seeing other customers consuming got my taste buds excited I went for their ice cream oh my...gosh!!!!!! To die for!!! In fact quite an extensive menu on offer. The staff were fab service prompt despite the cafe being busy a lady with ginger hair looked after me very polite and friendly A great atmosphere very welcoming I can't wait to go back and try something more substantial from the menu

I haven't been in the way for a while, but when I was immersed lately, it was like a trip back into the furniture is terrible: boring, old-fashioned and decidedly uncomfortable. what happened to the leatherettes and bright artworks? the coffee was okay. but the cup was only three quarters full. the Danish baked was presented in the cellophane package, as it was bought and labeled by a local bakery. it seemed as if it had been made by someone who had seen a photo of a Danish, but not actually tasted one. the worst Danish I ever had. no experience I will repeat.

We recently celebrated my birthday at fort cafe! It was absolutely impeccable service the staff accommodated us so wonderfully, the food was amazing the portions where bigger than expected which is never a disappointment the kids meal was ordered and on the table in...under ten minutes no waiting for little ones there is something for everyone my little boy loved his ice cream! I was made to feel really special on the big day with a playlist of my favourite singer and a slice of cake with candles at the end, I wouldn’t change a thing, polite staff lovely food great environment! we visited on Sunday march, a nice day to sit and relax with a coffee and watch the world go by, and what a place to do it! a very busy day, but this has not the speed of the service or the time it saw to be served our coffee, which was exceptional! the workers are all very pleasant and would do something for everyone! our coffee was made by a young lady under the name nikita? (we apologise if this is missing and it must be the most beautiful coffee in sidmouth! so praise this! all in all, a wonderful caffe, beautiful personal and wonderful view and coffee! a must visit place when in the southwest!

Bit of a mixed experience really... upon arrival it was quite empty and a very friendly and helpful lady took our order and all was well in the world... but then it rained heavily and clearly people passing came in to shelter and have a...coffee to wait it out. Wife ordered a hot chocolate and mince pie and I went for a cappuccino and bowl of cheesy chips (very Christmassy). Reasonable price and prompt service but our friendly original waitress was replaced by a not particularly friendly younger woman who was literally covered in dog hair and had just come from the kitchen area which put us off massively. After a lovely walk along the beach we thought we would stop for a nice hot drink and as this cafe had lovely views we thought it would be a nice end to the walk. Due to covid restrictions there was a bungy rope across...the entrance from the road with a sign saying please wait to be seated, so we waited and waited, a girl. Inside obviously saw us but just turned round and went back to the counter. A lady inside waved us in, again we stood by the sign at the door saying wait to be seated, a young lady came and said what do you want great greeting, we told her just a drink, she said go through and I will come and attend to you.
