Service was excellent. The food was about as basic as it gets these days: anaemic fries, indifferent fishcakes and only halfway decent beer and wine. Will not be going back anytime soon.

We visited the golden pot today on their fun day. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was reasonably priced, prompt(ideal when u have three young children to entertain!!! and more importantly tasted delicious. And the homemade marshmallows and fudge were just to die for!!!!! Will definitely return!! !!

a very nice afternoon here on Easter Sunday. eating, service live music were all excellent. great dog-friendly pub! only pampered by a large group of very unpleasant people who thought it was okay to drink their way through eating they drink their way through eating and then leave without their bill on the ground that they were dogs in the (dog friendly) pub! strange as they did not harass them before they eat it!

Fabulous lunch today, 4 of us stopped off here on the off chance of some lunch today about 2-15. They got the kitchen to stay open for us they stop food at 2pm) and we all have the most lovely lunch. We all had...something different and it was all cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back again and will definitely recommend The Golden Pot to all my friends.

A really lovely and delicious Sunday Lunch yesterday Roast Pork to die for! and the perfect way to celebrate my Mother in Law's 75th Birthday hubby's birthday . The team were great at keeping the cake a surprise rustling up some candles as I forgot to bring them! as well as really looking after us. We used to be regulars but for a variety of reasons not being as frequent as we used to be, but working on rectifying that now! Thank you everyone for a perfect Sunday afternoon of good food and great atmosphere
