"Very nice cafe, light and open decor with relaxing background music. I had the avocado, poached eggs on sourdough and an americano. This came as 2 large slices of toasted sourdough, topped with lots of crushed avocado, 2 poached eggs sprinkled with some chilli flakes (no chilli heat) and cherry tomatoes on the side. It was very tasty breakfast. The americano was excellent, whatever coffee bean is the choice in here it provides a great tasting coffee. Cafe also has a side hatch for takeaway and can do telephone orders it appears."

"A Few weeks ago my husband and I were in for lunch and there was a small mix up in our order. We didn’t mind waiting for it to be sorted and were happy to pay as the food was so good but the owner insisted we didn’t pay for our food and said it was “a gift”. It’s small things like this make a big difference. Sorry I meant to leave this review a while ago. It was a lovely and very kind gesture"

"Firstl night out after lockdown, my husband and I decided to visit golf club . It used to be one of our favourite places. But have had a couple of disappointing visits. But on Wednesday 12 th Aug. we booked a table . Pleasant young girl showed us to our table,gave us a menu each . Another member of staff came for our order, I started to place my order and was very abruptly told that menu was off. I explained that was the menu given , suddenly the menu was snapped out of my hand and the member was in my face ,stating it said the menu was available until 4.30 pm. I immediately put my hand up to force her back out of my face. No social distance there. I stated that was menu given to me . I was informed the she was manageress and should know. I just wanted to disappear out of this place, but had come out to enjoy ourselves. I politely placed my order, when my meal arrived I noticed a large hair wrapped around my chips, I informed the very rude manageress, who removed the side order, and replaced it later. Wa I received 10% off my bill for the mishap. I will NEVER be back in this restaurant,and I could not recommend it either. I also noticed that the tables were being cleaned with a W5 wipe, that included the chairs and table, I would expect the furniture to be properly cleaned , oweing to the current situation."

"We went to this restaurant for a quick meal and I must say, I was quite disappointed. We ordered garlic prawns, but what arrived at our table were 5 small fried prawns with half a fried white onion. For my starter, I ordered smoked chicken, but it turned out to be chicken pieces with another half fried onion and some hot pepper flakes. The honey chilli chicken main dish had a red sauce that tasted and smelled like vinegar. My husband's sirloin was not very tasty, except for the chips. The meat had a thick rind of fat, and the dish was served with grey green peas and more fried onions. The gravy that came with the sirloin was so gelatinous that my husband couldn't eat it. We wanted to complain, but there was only one young server and an older lady taking orders, with no one else in the restaurant. The place was freezing, with only a small fan heater on the floor. It was early on a Tuesday at 5pm, but to serve fried onions as a garnish and offer smoked chicken without actually having it was disappointing. Additionally, the website advertised an early bird set menu for £10 per person, but when we arrived, it was actually £14 per person, with an additional charge of £3 for steak or if we wanted tea or dessert."
