"We have eaten several times before the harbour height and have always enjoyed the food. On this occasion, we were very disappointed by the choice of food on the menu (which changes from time to time and is not available in advance on the line) and could not find any starter or dessert that one of us liked, the dessert menu was limited in particular, there were only 3 choices (except the standard ice/sorbs/cheese offers). The service was indifferent and inconsistent, the waiter was not aware of the drinks and then served me with the wrong drink, part of our food order was missed and we had to ask for water above etc."

This place must have the best view in Dorset, looking over Poole harbour to Brownsea island, or through the pines to the Old Harry Rocks.

Nice place, good restaurant but now there is a breakfast buffet cooler (high and in a dark colour, horrible) in the restaurant and it looks like a hotel breakfast room ! and... oh, yes, we do evening meals. Food is still good (the 1st chef left in December), quality and taste.

We chose the heights for my sons 18. Birthday lunch and we were all very impressed. The food and service were the first class and of course the views are the second to none. Special mention to Sol for his playback of Happy Birthday and the birthday plate was very appreciated. We look forward to our next visit.

We decided to celebrate my son's 18th birthday lunch at The Heights, and we were all very impressed. The food and service were top-notch, and the views were absolutely spectacular. A special shoutout to Sol for his wonderful rendition of Happy Birthday and the birthday plate was a nice touch. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

While the position view is excellent, this is obviously reflected in the calculated prices. I felt for what we had the food was good, but not excellent for the price calculated. Over £15 for a salad, a tad seems excessive. Not sure I would return quickly, but the ambience that is beautiful on a summer day to sit outside would be a pleasure. Service was not exceptional what I would expect again in such a place.

Although the location offers a fantastic view, the prices are quite high as a result. The food was decent, but did not justify the high prices. Paying over £15 for a salad seems a bit too much. I'm not sure if I would come back soon, but the ambiance is lovely especially on a summer day. Sitting outside would be a delightful experience. The service was not exceptional, which was disappointing considering the type of establishment it is.

We have dined at Harbour Heights several times before and have always enjoyed the food. However, during our most recent visit, we were disappointed with the limited options on the menu. The starters and desserts did not appeal to either of us, with only three choices available on the dessert menu. The service was lacking, as the waiter seemed indifferent and inattentive. He was not knowledgeable about the drinks and served me the wrong drink. Additionally, part of our food order was missed and we had to request water refills.

"So we went to the restaurant with some friends the other day. I dropped my partner and her friend at the entrance until I parked since there is no parking in front of the restaurant and one of them is pregnant. It took me a total of 19 minutes to park the car and het back to the restaurant during those 10 minutes the waiter went twice to ask them if they'd like something to drink and although they initially replied that they were waiting for their partners he sent the manager out the bar to ask them in a more intimidating way and so they ordered water. Highlighting that this happened in between 10 minutes. When we arrived at the restaurant, we ordered the roasted bread, which you can actually see it wasn't roasted or warm. By the time our mains arrived the table next to us was empty and remained empty for until the time we left so made me question why the staff asked my partner a few times on what they would have making it look as they were in a hurry since there was ppenty of sitting space within the restaurant. During the whole time we were in the restaurant, there were a few flies around us which you wouldn't really expect in an indoor space restaurant of this price point. The food was amazing. We had 2 of the hake fillet and the sea bream. On the other hand my friend who ordered the sea bream was expecting it this with asparagus but instead it came with another green which would be nice to know from before. I got a creme brulee for a desert, the short bread biscuit was amazing the top of the creme was crunchy but yhe inside could have used some extra taste. All in all, if the service wasn't this poor and the flies weren't present, this review could have been way more positive."
