"with decoration that is part nautical, partly retro diner, seadrift feels fresh, warm and welcoming. the staff was incredibly helpful and hospitable, very suitable for the venue. obviously a popular place for local and tourist, there was a steady stream of customers during our visit, but then, with the caffe currently as number ones on tripadvisor for porthleven, I expected to be eating well. what I didn't expect was one of the worst cases of envy I had in some time."

"the vegan menu was limited to two appetizers, two netzens and a few pages, but a lot of thought had gone clearly into them. we shared the KFC Korean fried cauliflower with gochugang, chives and salat and the tempura tofu bao bun with picked shitake, miso dressing, wakame and sweet chili. I had the vegan ramensuppe for my head and a side of greens with soy and ginger. the starters were the stars of the show that the kfc was really sharp and the Bao-beat tasted from the sea. the smoker was tasty, but not as beaten as the appetizers. service was good and the staff was very friendly. the only vegan wein was of course the most expensive on the menu (after the sommelier.) after a fast google I discovered that one of the cheaper white wines was also vegan the 2019 les archeres vermentino for those who might be interested! updated by previous review on 2021-08-05 updated by previous review on 2021-08-05"

"Amazing flavours brought together on each plate, 3 of us swapped fork fulls of our choices of meals, so glad we all went for very different meals,from mussels,beef,scallops,brill,lamb and pork.Then the puddings came out ...oh my life... apple sorbet and so much more, chocolate mousse thing with so many delicious other things. The whole experience of fine food,relaxed atmosphere was brilliant. I have eaten here on every visit to Porthleven, 4 times in all and rate this restaurant as number 1 in my favourite places to eat in Cornwall Food and location makes it 5 stars from me ."

"We went as a part of ten to eat and drink. The fantastic staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was delicious. I ordered the large battered hake and was given the extra large for no extra charge. "First time in Porthleven so our first visit the the Ship that's been recommended to us by friends who have been visiting for years and we weren't disappointed! Staff are great and make you feel really welcome and are up for anything to make sure you have a good time. We were on a stag night and the manager felt we weren't making enough noise so he got us onto shots and then our other halves arrived on their hen night and the evening just got better and better! Brilliant.."
