Nice setting, menu could have come earlier but service very good and food first class

Delicious meal and apart from being seated next to a table of 6 who were rather loud we very much enjoyed our night!

Very good from start to finish. Staff welcoming and friendly, helpful and attentive without too much busy-ness. Decor and furnishing pleasant and easy to relax in, cleanliness and arrangement excellent. Food very good indeed.

We had a lovely meal in the Philipburn and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The dining area was really clean and decor good. The food was of excellent quality and portion size was very good too. We will definitely go back afain

Last minute booking at the end of our holiday. I wished we had gone earlier. It was a lovely meal in great surroundings with very pleasant and helpful staff. I am a coeliac and I had plenty of choice for my meal. If I get the chance again I will return without a doubt. Speisekarte ansehen

Nice friendly staff, very good food and service. No great ambience in the restaurant but it was fine. We sat in front of fire exit windows that people went behind our table to exit to smoke. I was surprised this was allowed and it was quite annoying, and on a cold night would have been unacceptable. Overall though, very satisfied with our evening.

First time for a meal (midweek) since the recent change of ownership. We liked the hotel before but had only been for drinks not food. Service and appearance of the hotel is still excellent and the food we really good. I have the vegan choice and the home made burger was one of the best I have had. Small but well chosen wine List: the Rioja we had was as described and very nice. When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised. Will be back.

We called in twice for an evening meal at the Philipburn Hotel during our stay in the Selkirk area and found that the food the service was just amazing. The place is spotlessly clean and the attention to detail is seen throughout the Hotel. The quality of all the food was excellent and the presentation of all the courses was so professional. Needless to say we certainly enjoyed both meals at the Philipburn and would certainly call in again if we return to that area. Initially we had mainly called in as it was Dog Friendly and of course this does restrict where you can eat but the Philipburn certainly made us feel very welcome and the lounge bar area was very comfortable.
