First visit after nearly three years.. food delicious, service excellent. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been in. Everything spotless. Good atmosphere. Would recommend a visit.

This restaurant is fantastic with delicious food and quick, friendly service. Personally, I thought the king prawn starter was amazing, and the Madras was spectacular. Overall, a great experience and I will definitely be returning.

First visit as staying at local hotel. Service was superb. All staff very pleasant welcoming. The food was very tasty not overly spicy. Ordered Balti Chicken Tikka Chicken Tikka Massala with Garlic Corianda Nan. Portions very generous. Would recommend visiting if in the area. Speisekarte ansehen

myself and the wife visited here 2/9/22 and the food is excellent,service polite and quick. i love madras currys and i have to say i have had many curries in many restaurants-but this was eceptional. everything from starters to mains we enjoyed. really recommend if your travelling in the area.

Had a takeaway from here. The curries and rice were good, so no complaint there, but the 'chapatis ' were tortilla wraps. Maybe I am out of touch, but I found it very expensive for a takeaway. Usually a takeaway is cheaper than sitting in, so I suspect they did not give any discount for the takeaway.

I recently had a takeaway from Taste of Spice in Selkirk and I have to say if I didn’t live 10 mins away by car I would have returned it. I ordered a veggie Curry with Rice and it was absolutely tasteless, no flavour nor depth. I notice a few good reviews for sitting which makes me think the takeaway service is not of the same quality. We were pleasantly surprised by Taste of Spice. We were visiting from out of town and craving curry, and this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The service was good and both our starters and main courses were delicious. I highly recommend the lamb bhuna curry! My wife's vegetarian option was also tasty, and we enjoyed sharing a tarka dal. Overall, it was a great meal at a reasonable price in a nice setting.

During my visit to Selkirk to see family and friends, we decided to gather at the Indian restaurant for a meal. Unfortunately, there is no pub scene in Selkirk anymore, which is disappointing. However, Taste Of Spice never disappoints in terms of value for money and quality of food. The restaurant has a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, with attentive staff. We were quickly seated and served with pints of Cobra. I ordered my usual Chicken Pakora and Garlic Chilli Lamb, sharing Rice and Naan Bread with my friends. I have eaten in this establishment many times, when i lived in the borders and since moving as well. But yesterday evening for the 2nd time in a couple of months their service was a disgrace. I went in and asked for a table for 1 as i was playing in a concert in the town later in the evening, there was no-one else in the restaurant, 40mins later when 2 friends walked in got a table for 2 without any trouble, it was still virtually empty. I was told i could have a carry out meal, but if i wanted a carry-out i would have asked for one, and i was in a car so hardly practical, virtually the same thing happened at beginning of November.
