"we booked a table for a 4 person family dinner on Saturday afternoon. the restaurant is very pleasant and we had a table that looked over the gardens that was a really nice environment and good experience. the personal was attentive and the food was well presented and very good. the only disadvantage was that the food service was very slow and after 2 hours we could no longer wait for the desert course and decided to pay and leave. the hotel/restaurant was pretty busy and I don't know if our experience is a result of the personal shortage in the hospitality sector, but it was a shame. Hopefully this can be addressed and we would be happy to go back."

Really enjoyed the Jubilee afternoon tea, we were catered for perfectly. It was for a Birthday celebration that happened to coincide with the Jubilee weekend. The team did a perfect job.

Tha bar and restaurant were very nice places to be and the service was good. The food was mostly ok but the onion rings, although crispy were very oily on the inside, and the peach Melba was very disappointing

This was a special thanks for a dear friend and it was everything I wanted to be. Wonderful food, beautifully cooked and presented. Helpful and friendly staff who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Attentive in a way that was helpful whilst not being intrusive. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere sat out on the patio prior to Dinner. Staff very friendly and helpful came and took our order got drinks for us. The food was excellent quality clean plates all round even the children had clean plates. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again thank you for a wonderful evening.

The setting is beautiful, the staff were welcoming and knew exactly what our requirements were (one gluten free and one vegetarian afternoon tea). The table had a garden view and indoor plants beside us. The food was excellent and clearly explained. I would have preferred a slightly quicker start to the arrival of the food but there was a wedding on so I am sure the staff were v busy. Definitely worth a revisit as we had a super relaxing time.
