Holborn Dining Room

An exceptional chicken pot pie. However, the prices of the drinks are very high, and the wait as well (reservation at 8 p.m. and we ordered at 9 p.m. . Unfortunately the fries are frozen. In short, not crazy value for money, but a chicken pie that is worth the detour.

Made a visit to the Pie Room (pie hole where you can order through the window). I enjoyed watching the pie making process. I ordered the Dauphinoise potato pie and it was full of flavour. The crust of the pie was crunchy and firm and wasnt soggy at all. Definitely try if your a pie lover!

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. Not only is it beautiful, but the food is fantastic and the famous pie that I've heard so much about definitely lives up to the hype. The service was excellent as well, with a friendly staff that was always smiling. While it may not be a cheap meal, it is definitely worth it. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you. Very disappointed given reviews. My food choices were underwhelming and bland scallops starter and lobster/ crab salad main. My fellow diner enjoyed their scotch egg and pie as very tasty so maybe I made bad choices. However, at this price tag, I would expect something really really special for every mouthful. Sadly, it was an underwhelming, over priced dining experience.

We came here to understand if the YouTubers Giano and Franci were good-natured... Well what can I say... SCOtch eggs and pies SCREAMING! super good, perfectly cooked and decent portions (not a wedding binge but good enough to satisfy the stomach of an average gourmet). The staff was really kind and attentive, both the head waiter and the guys who served us, with whom we exchanged pleasant conversations. Must try at least once! It was better than any food I had in England. It was 48 pounds of beef Wellington, and the Wellington meat was so tender, the mushroom flavor was amazing, and the sauce was perfect, not too salty or strong. The bread served with the potatoes is also a bit hard, but it goes very well together. I drank the recommended wine and it went very well with Wellington. The Beef Wellington season at nearby Kerridge's Bar Grill was over, so the chef there recommended it, and I'm sure the chef would cook high-quality food, too. The food and service here were better than any restaurant I've experienced in London. I hope you stop by and experience Wellington and pie.

Food The beef wellington was delicious. It was first said to be 38 pounds but the waiter came back and told us it was 48 pounds. The beef wellingtons came with three potatoes. These were hard as a rock. I couldn 't cut them without risking them being catapulted to other guests. We tried to moisten them with the gravy, but these were taken away before we had the chance to do so. I ordered red wine. It was delicious but I have to guess if it was the one I chose. From the point we came in everything was quite chaotic. We were pretty much ignored for a bit, our jackets were not asked to hang in the clothing room while we were standing there. The bottle of wine was not shown as it was poured outside sight. We were put at a nice spot where we were asked multiple times if we were sure about the table, which made us question if we were put in a bad spot. It killed the relaxed vibe. The menu or recommendations for welly wednesday were not explained properly.
