Managed to get a last minute table (must have been rare as heard the lady at the bar saying they were now fully booked as we walked in). Staff were very attentive, food amazing and good choice of drinks..

This is one of my favourite places to eat. Never ever disappointed! I took my family for dinner last night as a pre Christmas family get together. We chose from the excellent 3 course set menu each dish was well presented and delicious. This is lovely setting and the staff were great, all in all a fantastic example of a gastropub.

Just returned from a Christmas meal with friends £35 each. Their starter was missing sourdough bread:their main was missing a vegan Yorkshire pudding; their pudding- they were told no vegan ice cream would sorbet do? then some ice cream was found?! After complaining we got £20 off drinks but it still doesn’t really make up for the fact each course had missing something

We recently visited for a Sunday roast and enjoyed it very much. The service was quick and friendly, the food arrived very quickly, was of good quality, and was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great, although the music was a little loud initially (we were sat right next to the speaker to be fair), and there was a nice selection of beers too. All in all, we'll no doubt be back in future.

Terrible service, decent food. We arrived and one lady was seating a short queue while 3 other staff stood around looking lost, we then had to wait around 15 mins to order drinks so ordered food at the same time. The food came out quickly but after we finished it took over 30 mins for plates to be cleared and desserts to be offered, nobody asked if food was ok.Overall decent food terrible service.

Visited with my family as a party of 4 including 2 kids. Excellent food, prompt and friendly service, and fair pricing for the high standard of meals. The fish the adults had was beautifully cooked, my son said the burger is the best he has ever had, and my daughter wanted to return the following day for Sunday roast! Best eating pub between Bristol and Chippenham by a country. Will be back soon...

I am a regular for Sunday lunch at The Hollybush but am now looking for a alternative option after our recent visit. The portion of meat was very much on the small side and the roast potatoes were bordering on inedible as they were so dry which is surprising as we ate just after they started serving food.Things will need to improve before we will return as all of our group thought the food was underwhelming.

Terrible , we ordered fish and chips , I had 11chips on my plate my husband 13 . No staff interested in how our meal was , my rum and coke drink was drowned in coke , I asked the barman if he could possibly pour another for me , he took it with attitude from the table and two minutes later returned with the same drink but had tipped out some of the drink . Horrible experience would not recommend going here if you’re looking for good food , nice atmosphere and friendly staff . I emailed them two weeks ago and not heard a thing as yet !

Arrived for our 7 clock booking and seen straight to our table. Table was ready but only two place settings when it was a table for three. Ordered three drinks when arrived the waitress dropped accidentally the whole tray of drinks over one of the party. Mess cleaned up quickly but no apology from the waitress only the girl that came to clear up the mess. Food was excellent and so was desserts. When bill arrived we had been charged for the drinks and had to say about it. No good will gesture was given bearing in mind one of the party got soaked. It took us to mention it first!
