Très bonne table. Beau cadre avec une terrasse très calme, personnel sympathique et très professionnel.Excellente carte des vins

I didn't stay there but I had dinner there. The restaurant is excellent with a special mention for the scallops when it is in season.

Une cuisine maison avec des produits du marché, des recettes raffinées qui dégagent les papilles ! un rapport qualité/prix difficilement battable et l'humour pince sans rire du patron. Je recommande !

Resto correspondant à son classement tripadvisor ayant déjà fait les autres resto de St Jean. Un petit avantage sur les autres un large choix de vin en 50 cl et 37.5cl apreciable en couple et un extaordinaine et rare vin des charentes(héritage d'alienor) en cépage merlot.jai trouve la carte un peu chère par rapport aux deux menus bons mais pas exceptionnelle. Les mets sont de bonne facture, goûteux et bien présentés. Les vins sont bons et bien choisis.Le choix est un peu juste de notre avis, mais est généralement gage de nourriture de qualité.Les prix sont corrects au vu de la qualité. Le cadre est très bien : une salle aérée, sobre et confortable. Une terrasse agréable et aérée également.Le service est discret et efficace sans fioriture et à l'écoute de nos demandes. Mais nous trouvons l'accueil limite froid. Bon, ce n'est pas le plus important mais ce serait un plus.

We cannot speak highly enough of La Place. We have eaten here on a number of occasions when using this interesting town as a “stop over” .Our recent dinner did not disappoint the set menu was interesting, as usual, but the a la carte choices held extra temptations! The service is always attentive with a great eye for detail and the welcome warm. The wine list is interesting and well explained by the charming proprietor. The people of St.Jean D’Angely are fortunate to have such a gem of a restaurant in their midst we look forward to joining them each time we are in their vicinity.

If you are a vegetarian of looking for a place to take vegetarian guests, look no further. I visited here with several friends in late October and as one of us was vegetarian, we all took the veggie menu which was a carpaccio of beetroot for entree and a divine creamy vegetable risotto for mains and a fresh fruit crumble for dessert. It was superb. So often in France, vegetarian options are either non-existent or a plate of drab salad leaves and full of disappointment but not here. By prior arrangement, the owner also welcomed my little Westie dog. Great restaurant with kind professional staff and excellent food. We'll be back! Speisekarte ansehen
