Hunters Meet - Speisekarte

As a member of the probus club we meet here once a month and I find the food excellent the service is first class and the prices are just right .look forward to each lunch .

Three of us were here for afternoon tea, WOW what a treat sandwiches were all fresh and various, and the cakes were to die for! a scrummy selection and then you get scones with jam and cream, and plenty of tea and coffee, you can have the prosecco afternoon tea as an alternative .staff very friendly, one way system was in place and temperature taken too hand sanitizer was also available.

We were a party of 6 who booked the weekend package for a 50th celebration.If you're looking for elegant, sophisticated fine dining...this isn't the place for you.But what you do get, are the friendliest most helpful staff, an excellent 4 course meal and breakfast, brilliant entertainment in the form of the delectable Fanny Galore and an superb singer providing great party covers. I went to Hunters Meet with a group of friends, totaling 14 of us. They had a great variety of food to choose from, and I enjoyed a perfectly cooked sirloin steak with plenty of vegetables. The bar was well-stocked with a good selection of wines, beers, spirits, and soft drinks. After dinner, we were entertained by a fantastic live band that got everyone up dancing. It was a wonderful evening and I would highly recommend Hunters Meet for any occasion.

Wonderful staff, very well run family owned, traditional small hotel. Extremely popular with locals, lots of special, live entertainment evenings. Good food a pleasant all day bar with an outside terrace. Pretty gardens whole heartedly recommended if you are in the area. Ideal to meet with friends during the day for coffee etc far superior to the tea rooms at the Heath. It is slightly like stepping back in time but that just adds to its charm, what they do, they do very well!

Hunters Meet is a great place, good value for money For £38~£40 you get a 4 course meal and entertainment which is a different theme each week throughout the year from rock n roll to 80s and many more. You can also add to the fun and stay in the hotel which I personally haven't used yet as I'm not that far from home but have been to a few entertainment nights. The staff are lovely and do everything the can to make sure your night is great.. I will be back in September for my friends birthday as a party of 16 people. In these funny old times we decided to have a takeaway Sunday lunch rather than eat in because a member of the family had been shielding. We have been here numerous times for family celebrations. Between us we had the Sunday lunch platter, the lamb and the turkey and it did not disappoint. Everything was cooked beautifully and all plates were cleared. For dessert we had carrot cake, cheesecake, fudge cake and pavlova. Generous portions and all delicious. It is important to support local businesses in these uncertain times and to make sure we can all resume normal business, we need to adapt in the meantime.

Attended Fanny Galore quiz 90s last Friday, what a great night it was. After lockdown this was my first night where I felt we were able to go out and let our hair down along with social distancing. Well done to all at the Hunters Meet I used your outside bar during in lockdown as well and I can honestly say you guys had lockdown set out so well keeping the bar spirit alive where you could! Working in a bar myself it’s easy to be critical however your team seem absolutely lovely and all I have to say is positive things. I will certainly be using your facilities more in the future. We visited yesterday for afternoon tea to be greeted warmly in reception and shown to a nicely laid table. One of our party suffers with food allergies which was mentioned at the time of booking, so on her arrival her dietary needs were discussed briefly to ensure that everything prepaid was Ok for her to eat. I thought this showed so much care and attention to detail. Within minutes of sitting down our fizz was poured and presented to us nicely chilled and we were offered unlimited tea, coffee and iced water. The well stacked sandwiches cakes and scones were presented beautifully on a cake stand and were lovely and fresh. The jam was advertised as home made and it tasted lovely. I wasn't to...
