Il Caminetto - Speisekarte

We always go to IL Caminetto whenever we're in Varenna because of the excellent food and hospitality. We've also attended their cooking class, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We highly recommend a visit here.

I tavoli sono messi su due piani e tutto cio rende il locale molto caldo e accogliente. Inoltre si mangia molto bene e in abbondanza. La carne è buonissima. Chef simpatico e bikers friendly. Non ho trovato nessun difetto, dovrò tornarci per cercarne qualcuno.....

My husband and I took this cooking class based on recommendations from the Rick Steve’s book. The class was great and Moreno, the owner and chef was wonderful! It was my favorite experience in Varenna. And I just made 200 tortellini and ravioli with his recipe. Outstanding! Highly recommended! Speisekarte ansehen

Locale piccolo ma incantevole serve la prenotazione perché non hanno molti posti.il cibo è di ottima qualità e lo Chef è bravissimo ad esaltarne i sapori la moglie e il personale sono di una gentilezza unica.Per arrivare lì c'è una strada stretta e tortuosa ma il panorama mozzafiato e il locale ne vale la pena. Se siete da quelle parti dovete assolutamente fermarvi. Consigliatissimo

Really enjoyed our evening here. The owners are so friendly and the lift to and from the restaurant was an added bonus. We had the set menu and it was all delicious, the porcini risotto was amazing. There was too much food to fit in deserts but the complimentary limoncello was a nice end to a lovely evening. The food and wine was really reasonable too. Highly recommend this place but booking in advance is essential.

After doing an organized tour of other countries, we were looking for a real Italian meal This did not disappoint. Rosella picked us up in Varenna and drove us to the restaurant. We had the fixed menu. It was served a a leisurely pace so we could enjoy every bite. The carafes of wine were delicious and the meal was topped off with shots of limoncello. It was a wonderful dinner. We were raised in the Italian tradition of family, lots of courses, wine and great food at a relaxing pace. This was everything we hoped for. Speisekarte ansehen

We took Chef Moreno’s cooking class. It was equal parts Italian cooking with life lessons beautiful conversation. The class is more of a demo, with Moreno doing all the “hands on” parts save for us shaping the tortellini. We thoroughly enjoyed learning from him, and the day includes a generous charcuterie, latte, and full lunch. Plan to make this your entire day! We were there from 10-3 and would have stayed longer if we didn’t have another tour booked. Moreno and Rosella were so kind. Favorite quotes: “Food is love— enjoy it.” “You can feed the belly and not be happy. You feed the soul, you can be happy.” 10 10 recommend!

Ristorantino con ambiente semplice e rustico tipico della zona. Norme covid rispettate minuziosamente. Proprietari molto gentili e competenti. Ma il punto di forza e' il cibo: ottimo, peccato che ci siano solo 5 stelle perche' ne darei il doppio. Ho mangiato l'antipasto completo, un viaggio fra i migliori prodotti della montagna e del lago della sponda lariana. Mio marito, che apprezza particolarmente i missoltini, ha detto di non averne mai mangiato di cosi' buono. Le mie costolette di cervo con le mele: superlative. Morbidissime e con un sapore molto delicato, non avevano per niente sapore di selvatico. Purtroppo non abbiamo provato i dolci. Una scusa per tornarci ancora

Una delle migliori esperienze culinarie di sempre! Il ristorante Il Caminetto non offre tanti piatti, ma sono uno più buono dell'altro. È un posto molto tranquillo e riservato, perfetto per una cena intima. I piatti che abbiamo scelto ci hanno davvero entusiasmato: innanzitutto abbiamo preso una degustazione completa di antipasti e poi tre secondi, cioè la tagliata sulla pioda, le costolette di cervo con le mele e la grigliata mista di pesce di acqua dolce. Oltre alla bontà delle portate, ci ha piacevolmente sorpreso la cordialità e la gentilezza dei gestori e dello chef, che è venuto più volte a servirci al tavolo raccontandoci la storia di suo nonno, il quale è emigrato all'inizio del 1900...
