"Been on the road for a week trying Indian food,from Lancashire to St Ives and back. Stopped at Bridgwater tonight and found India Cottage online. Had a fast delivery to my hotel. I must say it’s the best food I’ve had all week. Price is very reasonable and excellent food. Would recommend to anyone who knows and enjoys finest Indian cuisine. This restaurant offers the best curry in town! I ordered it for dinner, and everything was perfect. The food was outstanding, earning a solid 5 out of 5. The service was also excellent, receiving a 5 as well. The atmosphere gets a perfect score of 5 too. Highly recommended!

"We have been regular customers at Maiseys bakery for over 18 years, visiting every Saturday until the pandemic hit. Since the management change, we have noticed a significant increase in prices for their bread and cakes. Today, on 29/7/23, we paid £1.35 for the smallest Lardy square we've ever purchased. We understand that ingredient costs have gone up, but it's becoming challenging for us to justify the prices. Despite this, we must say that Maiseys' bread and cakes are still the best we've ever tasted. Stay safe."

"I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant. I ordered the 6oz steak and it was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and delicious. It was the best steak I have had in a while. My partner enjoyed the curry, and even our little one had the adult-sized ham, egg, and chips which she finished completely because it was so tasty. The staff were very friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and beautiful, especially sitting beside the log fire in the cold weather. I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant."

"We have visited many times now as a family group, we went again last night- the food and service again was fantastic. The steaks/ mixed grill meats are all locally sourced and have been perfectly cooked every single time. The specials board always as home made pies, fish dishes etc. the puddings are superb and it’s all so reasonably priced. I honestly can’t fault it in any way. The owners and staff are so friendly and clearly take such pride in their wonderful traditional pub. Credit where credit is due!"

"We went for breakfast with the whole family and mid way through the meal, a staff member comes over to my nieces high chair looks at the mess on the floor and puts the sweeping brush next to us. She says I 'll leave this one here for you to do . I mean how rude. Anyway we picked up the bigger bits of food from the floor but to make a point we didn 't sweep because of how rude she was. At the end of the meal she came over to me and said 'Oh you didn 't sweep it '. I said 'No it 's not our job to do it that 's what you expect from a family pub '. She then very rudely said It 's not my job to look after your kids . We would normally clean up after ourselves no matter what pub we go too because our children do make a mess, but the fact she gave us the cleaning equipment mid way through eating, accompanied by her huffing and puffing and sour looks we stood our ground. Going out for meals etc with children is hectic enough, let alone rude staff members making it more stressful."
