in agreement with other jamie 's Italian room is friendly, professional service and given the offer in guildford presents itself as one of the best. people, if it is his jamie, it must be nothing less than the best.

meh : among other things in guildford, that doesn't impress me. Eating was not great, ambiamce is pretty good. but it is not worth it. there are better Italian places in the city, which is teeny a bit expensive, but much better.

Very pricey and baby portions. Took my fiancee there for a weekend evening meal, found the menu very limited and very expensive, I had a risotto, and if im honest, my fiancee makes a better risotto than here, and the portions are very small (childrens size) and I and my fiancee both left after a 2 course meal still hungry, i wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone if im honest, there are plenty of better restaurants in Guildford and surrounding area.

Poor. I have eaten in restaurants in over 28 countries and over 200 cities/towns and the steak served at Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in Guildford was below average and a total rip off at the price. The menu pricing is misleading and you will end up paying far more than expected. The table where I was seated was placed as an after-thought and I was constantly been bumped by staff and customers constantly passing the table. Overall a below average experience at a below average restaurant and I will not be back.

As average as the man himself.. Rubbish quality of food. Read the comments below for confirmation of this, but the menu differs to what is served, the portions are tiny and both dishes we had were so lacking in flavour that I genuinely believe that I would have had better food from a Tesco Finest heat up deal. The service was good, but other than that we are very disappointed. Without complaining we were offered two 'free starter with your next meal ' cards, and we left them on the table. Never again Jamie Oliver.

Dissapointing. Visited Jamie Olivers Italian in Guildford on a weekday lunchtime, place was very busy (possibly due to it raining outisde). Service was okay, but the food was dissapointingly tastless and very small portions. Several of the items on the menu were 'off ' due to a breakdown in the kitchen. Had some mixed bread starters whch was ok, but no plates on the table to put it on. I guess the place trades on Jamie 's name and the expection of good quality food. The mangager told me that they got alot of repeat customers, we won 't be one of those based on this vist.

Why does the menu differ from reality?. Met for a small family reunion. Just the three of us and not in a mood to be nitpicky however a night of indigestion has lead me to look at the comments here. The Good: Being able to look at the menu on line. The staff The iced olives Truffled turkey milainaise fine And now to the problems. Side dish Buttered Sliced brussels sprouts with a hint of lemon and nutmeg. So what is it with the liberally sprinkled chili? I don 't like chili. The Autumn Bruschetta also seemed overly spicy and the scamorza qhich is meant to be a stringy cheese like mozzarella seemed to be a creamed something. I am disappointed....read more

1st Class. My 1st visit to any Jamie Oliver venue Guildford for an xmas get together with 2 work colleagues and our respective partners so 6 of us, table booked at 6.45pm. I have to say that the meal I had was one of the best I have ever had. The pasta dish was just bursting with flavour,I had to savour every mouthful. Every one of us enjoyed our meal so much, my GF said that her pasta dish was out of this world . In addition the service was exceptional, the waiters knowledge of every dish was flawless. Those that say the dish sizes are too small must be used to eating until you feel like your about to burst because the portion sizes are spot on. Also the prices, how anyone can say...read mo...
