"Wow what a great find! Really cute restaurant with very attentive staff. The food was fantastic, we had the duck salad and crispy egg to start both dishes had so much flavour and were presented nicely. For mains I highly recommend the beef cheek, it melted in the mouth and was so tasty. And such friendly staff we felt very welcome"

"Nous nous sommes présentés avec mon amie un jour en semaine à 12h, sans avoir réservé. La réponse fut rapide et concise: "Sans réservation? Euh non". Pas de propositions pour un horaire plus tardif ou pour un autre jour de la semaine, nous avons donc gentiment fait demi-tour... Vu les commentaires, la cuisine est sans doute excellente mais l'accueil ne donne pas du tout envie de s'attarder!"

"Burger a little fade, excellent fries, warm welcome, atmosphere at the rendezvous, a room not too noisy despite the world, we are comfortably installed. In summary a good meal but not so much thanks to the burger what I found damage!"

"Went there for my mum's birthday dinner. The best way to describe au Vieux Morsent is as a friendly and food-conscious with a hint of a rustic feel. There's ample outside seating and while it's not scenic it's still considerably more pleasant than the inside-only eateries in the nearby Evreux.Service is very friendly, the menu is presented on a board, the chef walks around talking to clients and places little sculptures made out of potatoes in the dishes. The staff is divvied up into the very young and the experienced, both deliver a good level of service. Food is homely and filling. A 3 star michelin this isn't, but then again it has no pretension of being one. I recommend 'L'assiette des indecis' which contains their 3 best starters for a modest 3 extra euro. The beef brochette was generous and perfectly cooked, but the one lonely red meat dish in the otherwise extensive menu. What differentiate this restaurant from another is the little details. Waiters don't wait for your to finish your bread then ask you if you want more: they just bring you more when it gets low. You don't order wine from a menu, but simply walk into their (small) cellar and grab what you like. The brochette was served on a convenient metal skewer and flew of it easily. Staff overhead us mention a birthday and brought a fancy rocket candle on top of the dessert. You never feel rushed.In conclusion, Au Vieux Morsent is more than the sum of its parts. It's unlikely you'd find it by accident, as it's tucked away from the main road, but if you're on your way to Brittany or simply in the area it's a safe bet with an excellent price/quality ratio."
