"I visit this restaurant every year. The food is average to good depending on what you order. The owner tries to extract money from you at every opportunity and I would avoid / not go again.I asked for a fillet steak au poivre. Being French the waitress told me the fillet steak was served with a mushroom sauce. I said I want my steak with a pepper not a mushroom sauce and that shouldn't be a problem as you have the pepper sauce on your menu albeit for a different steak. The waitress brought both sauces and insisted on charging me €7 for the pepper sauce. When I pointed out to her the stupidity of her action she shrugged and said "I just work here"Sweet place but issues of principal show the shortsighted nature of the owner and the food and travel time don't merit such rude French arrogance."

I'm not sure why there are only 2 stars in other reviewsThis is one of the best restaurants I've been to in the area for dinner.

Service is ok, but prices are high. Baby octopus is very neutral, not tasty and expensive. Wines are expensive. We had 50cl rose for 26EUR. I would not go for a second time.

Josey Jo was recommended by a friend as "best steak ever" so my husband and I gave it a try. Just steps from our hotel, Le Cagnard , it was so french! Most deVine steak for two. The staff was friendly and so lovely! Josey came to our table and made some suggestions all quite delicious . You feel a partof Le Ville here... MUST GO ! If you are in Cagnes Sur Mer.

We ( a group of 14 ) had Sunday lunch in this amazing restaurant .The decor is pure style and the care and attention given to the customer by the staff ( including the owner) is lovely. We had the Josy - Jo cocktail! ( a house secret) to prepare us for a real treat. The food is organic, locally produced and often from Josy-Jo's own garden. The whole experience was wonderful and I would not hesitate to return if I was ever in the vicinity again.

Try to go there early. It's a lovely old area and make sure to book a table in the terrace although to be honest even sitting inside is pleasant. The food is simple but fresh ingredients make it amazing. If you can chose more than one starter to try everything and then of course your own main course. If you are lucky and they have the baby chicken on the day you go, make sure you order it. It's amazingly delicious. Owners/staff are nice but can be a little "French" at times but it's ok. Booked at this restaurant because our hotel restaurant was full. What a treat we had. Much better than the meal we had in the top class hotel. A busy family run restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere and quality food. We were met with a friendly welcome and quickly served with chefs tasters. The restaurant was packed but service was extremely efficient. It was good to see the young chef preparing and cooking the meat on the grill. We ordered a rack of lamb and a steak. Both were incredibly tender and overall a delicious meal. Good wine, even though just the house wine. Very attentive service throughout. Highly recommend but as it's very busy suggest you book first. I booked online from the UK...

Friendly and cozy place. Visitors are attracted here by a combination of comfort, ease of maintenance and warmth of ancient stones. It is recommended to taste the legendary grilled meats (beef, lamb, veal) and other dishes of Provencal cuisine: zucchini flowers in batter with homemade tomato sauce; Fresh mushrooms, fried with garlic and parsley, as well as a duck breast or a dove on the grill..
