"we were treated to gift vouchers for christmas and decided to use them. we usually get takeaway and take them to eat pugneys, but decided that instead of taking the goodwill twice, we would take the seniors special. we were not disappointed....We have pone to book, but didn't have to because it was almost empty. we had delicious squid and chips, with brot and butter and tee, followed by lemon sponge, though, I was a little disappointed that the Marmelade-Roly-Poly was not available, but it was perhaps just as good as I was pretty crowded by the fish and chips. I couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. we will definitely be back for this, even without gift vouchers. the staff was very friendly and friendly"

excellent fishing and chips, but the call Collect option for takeaway could be better organized and signed.

First visit to the restaurant but will definitely be back. Lunch time service was excellent and so was the food. We arrived at 11.40 and by 12.30 all the tables were full.

another thing to accuse, covid on, restaurant price rose 30% in just over 2 years, so we could not say who was mine they were...both small and an increase in price. another business well done by the pandemic. I'll say the waiting queue on Friday is a lot of money.

Had called for a takeaway but decided to eat in....very welcoming with friendly efficient staff...nothing too much trouble ...I asked for a lightly battered haddock....very happy with the food service and the place is well kept with ample parking...Eat in is slightly dearer than take...away but well worth it!

Phoned to book just 30 mins before arrival but our table was set with highchair and child friendly cutlery ready for us... So sweet..... My Grandson Theo's food was placed on a plate before ours allowing it time to cool slightly before serving to us,...making it safer for him to eat All staff very friendly and chatty with Theo from a Covid safe distance Thankyou guys... See you in the New Year

We were recommended by friends to go to Kingfisher for lunch. Well !!!. It was very good. Everything from Food to Service was excellent and we certainly will be returning again in the near future. Just one letdown. Car parking is very limited and it...does not help things. When people are sat in their cars, in the car park. Eating their Fish and Chips. When there is a very good Restaurant at the Kingfisher.

Eaten here before very good service and food, however today service was diabolical only three tables in restaurant occupied so quiet menus handed to us n told sit where you want....gent came in after us and was served straight away over 10 mins later we...asked to be served by young girl sorting serviettes, she replied I'll tell her another five minutes later woman took our order!!!! How bad in a practically empty restaurant. So poor when the food is good. Someone needs a little nod in the right direction

"My wife and I had dinner at Coraima this evening whilst staying in Wakefield and what a delightful restaurant it is. The simple and authentically decor provides an instant relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks. I had a Telba (a cold drink made with ground flax seeds) and my wife had a Beso (a cold, slightly sweet roasted barley drink). Both were delicious. For starters we shared a Beetroot Salad. It was very fresh with a delicately flavoured vinegar type dressing. As neither of us had had Abyssinian cuisine before, we decided to go for the 'Combination dish for two ' to give us an overall taster of their menu. A large round slate plate arrived with nine perfectly neat individual dishes sat on an injera (a slightly sour flat bread made from teff flour) with a further six neatly rolled injeras and four small chickpea flat breads. Every dish was very well spiced and made with care. Delightful and moreish. By the time we had eaten the whole plate we were nicely full but it did not feel heavy. We rounded the evening with hot drinks of a Shay (a North African spiced tea) and an Abyssinian coffee. The coffee (and popcorn) is not cheep at £9.95, however, this is by far the best coffee I 've ever tasted and a must for any coffee lover. We were informed that they roast the beans with spices in-house. Another sign of their dedication to present an authentic experience delivered with passion. Thoroughly recommended. Some additional information: 1. The restaurant is vegetarian and gluten free. 2. We had to pay a £20 no-show deposit when making the online table booking the day before, although, this has become, understandably, quite common for independent restaurants."
