"Booked restaurant by mistake but decided to have a go. Lovely staff. It was our 22nd anniversary but reservation seemed lost. Cocktails were poor.! mine was served in a ceramic black cup and was half full with ice cubes,the kokokura? Dinner was ok its all about a tasting menu but selection was poor. We had to order a lot to be filled up, some dishes were extremely expensive ie:the duck . Not one dish was outstanding or memorable. Service was amazing i did not dislike the reastaurant but as a chef i was disappointed, I've had better Japanese food. For people with little knowledge of food then it's worth a try can't say I would be back."

While the food quality is reasonable, value for money is extremely poor. We spent £30 on food and felt like we'd had a starter.

I really needed an evening out where I knew that there would be great food, amazing drinks and fabulous service. Kujira ticks all of these boxes for me! Especially want to thank Gavin for making our visit really lovely.

I wouldn’t normally write a review but this was the BEST food I’ve ever eaten. The beef skewers and crispy chicken skin were particularly nice, but overall we couldn’t fault a single dish. we sat on a great table and loved the decor. while we waited for the rest of our party, they offered us to order something while we wait. 2 members of our party were not able to visit what the staff did not do, and they have checked/chatted with us for such a relaxed, friendly way.

Unusual ordering system but good range of options. Quite a few veggie options and everything we ordered was tasty. We were a bit unimpressed to be told they needed the table back a little over an hour though, especially after being moved table once. We were just about to order more, too :
