"Stayed at La Civetta (small hotel) for nights in September and used the restaurant on the last night. It seems to only open on weekends but it's definitely worth the wait. The food was so enjoyable (and the stay too) that my mate...Johnny and I wished we were staying longer in Agropoli. The traditional pizza (cooked in a wood-fired pizza oven) is melt-in-the-mouth and we also enjoyed the beef braised in Aglianico wine and the ravioli too. The home-made tiramisu dessert was F.A.B! There's plenty of advice on what local wines to choose. We enjoyed a bottle of Aglianico Del Vulture from the Basilicata region, one of Italy's finest red wines. The restaurant is a family run affair with the matriarch in charge of the cooking (behind the scenes) so the food really is just as Mamma used to make The service was very friendly and attentive. Can't fault this restaurant. If you're staying in or around Agropoli, it's worth a minute journey to the top of the hill where you'll find La Civetta. (Put Via Madonna Del Carmine into your SatNav, go under the railway bridge, turn right at the small roundabout and almost immediately after turn left following signs)."

making refreshments means satisfying the customer always offering something that indulges him in the goto. you do not need wide menus or strange dishes, you need capacity and here is a lot. the place on top of the hill offers a wonderful view of the Gulf, with a lot of breathtaking sunsets. the menu offered while compressed guarantees all the satisfaction of the palate, enhancing the products of the area. excellent mozzarella, octopus and fennels, but especially shrimp and squids on fried pasta. excellent local wines. service always courteous and attentive in explanations. satisfaction

not really sure why they call in pizzeria here on the front page. they make pizza, but there is so much to come. first it is a curse from stone town on the hill with fantastic view and fresh air (get it. they take a few wrap or long sleeves with them feel comfortable). the tables on the terrace are simply great, very quiet and peaceful. the kitchen is very special. I mean that eating in italia is generally delicious, but very simply cooked and served. here it is not easy at all, everything is cooked and served by very creative and professional crew. the portions are large, so be careful! we come back in a definite way.

First of all it's an escape from stone town to the hill with fantastic view and fresh air (make sure...you take some wrap or long sleeves with you to feel comfortable). The tables on the terrance are simply great, very quite and peaceful place. The cuisine is very special. By saying that I mean that generally food in Italy is delicious but very simply cooked and served. Here it's not at all simple, all is cooked and served by very creative and professional crew. The portions are large so be careful! We'll definitely come back.
