La Corte Dei Grilli

We had a great evening at la Corte dei Grilli. The personnel is really friendly and speaks English. Food is well prepared and very well priced. We enjoyed the garden setting. Definitely worth a visit or two while in the area!

We have visited this restaurant with our dear friends and we have spent great evening! The food is delicious, the products are very good quality and the stuff is super friendly, English speaking and fun! The place was full of people, laughter and smiles! I had beef tartar and it was the best I have ever tried! We will definitely return to try other delicious dishes.

nice restaurant with open space in a quiet environment. youthful staff and professional cleaning service. a little kick in the open bracery. raw meat cut to the good knife as its sauces. The first one is a little disappointing. the ravioli were open and not the typical Piedmontese. ho festeggiato qui la prima comunione di mio figlio. L'allestimento è stato strepitoso. l'atmosfera era rilassante. Il cibo era delizioso e in abbondanza. Tutti gli ospiti si sono complimentati con il servizio, ma soprattutto sono rimasti molto soddisfatti del cibo. Il proprietario è incredibilmente cordiale e molto disponibile! altamente raccomandato per feste o anche pranzo e cena. Grazie per la splendida giornata.

as always we had fun, the great food, the boys in the room super nice and efficient, with pleasant surprise we had a delicious craft beer something that soon there was, the timing of the service despite the Saturday evening was perfect, the pleasantly abundant portions in short a certainty, go to the court never wrong! we don't talk about the price-quality ratio that is always a nice “end menu”....somma . tomorrow I come back.

Dopo lavoro ci siamo recati preso La Corte Dei Grilli abbiamo preso ognuno un primo,ci siamo divisi un quarto di vino rosso e per finire due dolci in tre la torta di nocciole veramente gradevole , mentre il tiramisù alla nutella un po’ troppo dolce per i nostri gusti . La spesa a testa è stata di 16 €, direi più che ragionevole. Abbiamo visto i tavoli a fianco e dal menu ci sono molte portate gradevoli e da provare. La selezione di vini e ampia. Cena all'aperto in una serata molto calda di agosto. La corte interna dove sono sistemati i tavoli è davvero incantevole. È una bella sorpresa impensabile da fuori. Tanto verde e, dopo il tramonto, le luci in giardino creano un'atmosfera romantica. Menù raffinato sia carne che pesce. Bigoli all'uovo con sugo di polpo speziato, davvero ottimi (il pesce era in gran quantità nel sugo). Spiedini di calamaro gratinati al forno, buoni ed arrivano con patate al forno (pastella dello spiedino morbida, me li aspettavo più croccanti). Tiramisù alla nutella, buono. Prezzo, un pochino sopra la media. Servizio giovane, ragazzi svegli. Peccato due piccole dimenticanze.

La Corte dei Grilli è esattamente il posto che cercavamo per una domenica in campagna: un ambiente rustico, semplice e accogliente, un proprietario gentile e simpatico (e amico dei cani! e soprattutto una cucina genuina eccellente. Nessuna nota stonata: abbiamo mangiato un vitello tonnato ottimo, un tortino di patate e funghi saporitissimo, agnolotti al sugo di brasato e un veramente straordinario guanciotto di maiale alle castagne, un piatto per cui vale la pena partire anche da lontano, vi assicuro! Prezzi assolutamente onesti. Non faccio spesso recensioni, ma siamo rimasti così contenti di questo posto che non potevo non consigliarlo, torneremo con gli amici!

Be advised that this is a place that the savvy locals all frequent on a regular basis. So the menu completely changes every day. Thus, the items you see people raving about might not be available on the day you go. However you can count on the fact that whatever is available will be exquisite. My wife and I drove there from Ovada for lunch and the onion soup with croutons was absoutely not what one would expect. A cream of potatoe soup with th eost delicious onion flavor ever and also the most delicious croutons (which I don't usually like) ever. And the pasta was divine as well.
