"Numna was the last stop on our trip through central Italy. We thought it would be nice to go somewhere the locals go to vacation and see something outside the usual tourist spots. Sirolo and Numana are all of those things and did not disappoint. However, we were there the first weekend in October so the busy season had ended and the locals had all but rolled up the sidewalks. We tried to get reservations at a couple restaurants overlooking the water but they were closed. I found this place on Google and the front desk at our hotel made us a reservation for the all too American hour of 7:30PM. We went out exploring the town for a couple hours and ended up at one of the few open cafes in the town square where we enjoyed some wine and snacks. Feeling relaxed and a little silly we made our way to our 7:30 reservation. We were the only ones in the restaurant because of course no one but Americans eat that early. Oh well. Having no idea what we were walking in to, the four of us were a bit shocked when we looked at the menu. We thought it would be an osteria or trattoria with traditional Italian fare. It was not. When we began to translate the Italian menu but I wasn 't sure we had done so correctly because there was no context within which I was familiar with 'pigeon foam '. Realizing we had stumbled into a culinary experiece well beyond our experience or expectations we decided there were only two things to do: sit back and enjoy the ride and order lots of wine. The wine was La Spazza? I think. It was a local verdicchio and it was delicious, or at least my 6 glasses were. There was an amuse bouche and I am so embarassed that the only words I have to describe it were spongy, salty and delicious. There were also some wasabi peanuts. Well there were 4 wasabi peanuts to be exact and they were in a box of small white rocks. Needless to say one of us tried to eat a rock which resulted in raucous laughter but no broken teeth. By now, the restaurant was filling up and we were acutely aware that we were the worst dressed and least prepared for the skill and delicacy with which our meal was to be prepared. On the plus side, the locals were getting a real kick laughing at us which we wholly welcomed. My lobster salad was divine. My risotto with the black butter and pigeon foam/sauce was rich, full of texture and dripping with umami. My veal shank was probably prepared sous-vide and was exquisite in texture. For dessert, I ordered the Rapisarlada. Their take on a deconstructed pina colada and is the greatest thing to ever happen to the pina colada. This is the most elevated these flavors have ever been and it will be remembered. I would like to say I am sorry to the chef and fellow patrons. Had we been aware we would have dressed a bit nicer and been prepared for a far more refined experience. Despite our appearance and lack of sophistication, the staff and the chef could not have been nicer and happier to serve us. Truly one of our best nights on the entire 12 day trip. I hope someday to have occasion to return and show the chef proper respect and appreciation."

"My wife and I visited this family owned restaurant on Monday evening, August 30th 2021. We were searching for fresh fish and seafood, and this is exactly what we found. For those who love raw fish, we started our dinner with a plate of sea-bream's carpaccio and a delicious mix of raw shrimps and oysters. After that we moved ahead with main course (we skipped the first ones though temptation was strong). Our main course was a double portion of mix grilled fish, including sea-bass, sole, prawns, squids skewer and scallops, served with gratin tomatoes and mixed salad. Everything accompanied by white sparkling wine Passerina We finished by eating an homemade dessert mattonella al cioccolato (chocolate brick), and coffee. Excellent food, impeccable service, very reasonable price. It's a tiny restaurant, just few tables, yet it's a must if you are in Marcelli di Numana. It has my approval."

"it seems that in December there are hardly any restaurants open in the region, so we were relieved to know that we can have dinner in this seafood restaurant. the place is very clean cut and probably in the summer months they will be in the amazing view. on the sea, but on a cold and windy December night we could only enjoy eating. my fiancée ordered yellowtail fish (ricciola) as main, which came very good quality and pure, but without next-court, on own faust. I ordered a grilled mix with fish, polip and filled squid, which looked beautiful and tasted. Even though we didn't want to eat too much for dinner, we still wanted more, so we both ordered one. the ambiente was nice to eat good quality, but the last bill came a little too expensive for my lust, especially given the fact that the night before in another restaurant in sirolo we at least eat 5x so much for the fraction of the price. out of this ground, 3.5 stars are possible at most."

"LA TAVERNA DEL CONERO La Taverna cui ho presenziato la prima sera che ero lì in vacanza è un ristorante ubicato nel centro storico di Sirolo, una delle perle del Conero, nella via principale. Si tratta di un ristorante con un interno capiente e una terrazza esterna abbastanza caratteristica, adatto sia per occasioni un filo più formali che meno. Il menù che si presenta è vario e incentrato perlopiù sul pesce del Conero (cozze, frittura e grigliata) ma anche con la presenza di piatti di carne, nonostante sia limitato spesso ai classici comunque ben eseguiti e a poche reinterpretazioni. I piatti però sono comunque buoni (come il baccalà mantecato) e alcuni molto intriganti, come i tortelli di gamberi che si presentano molto saporiti, cremosi e quantità non esagerata di tartufo, risultando così non troppo pungente. Per secondo invece ho provato la frittura dell 'Adriatico con calamari, gamberi e piccoli pesci che non era per nulla unta e bella croccante, come dovrebbe essere una frittura di pesce, che era, peraltro, fresco. Dolce molto intrigante come gusto e mix di sapori. Servizio disponibile e abbastanza attento per tutto il tempo. Prezzi non eccessivi per essere pesce, i primi sui 15€, fritto 20€, grigliata 24€ e via dicendo. Consigliato se siete li! Valutazioni LOCATION 8 MENÙ 8.5 CIBO 9 SERVIZIO 8 CONTO 8 TOTALE 8+"

"Una location incantevole, dall’atmosfera elegante e raffinata. Il cibo é davvero sublime. I piatti sono ben eseguiti e presentati. Prima delle portate viene offerto un aperitivo di benvenuto molto interessante, composto da: degustazione del loro olio extravergine, eccezionale, grissini, focaccine, cialde di mais e mini burguers di baccalà. Il servizio inoltre è degno di nota. Ci hanno trattato come due regine. Nel complesso, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Torneremo!"
