"Diner really very average given the cost of the addition. Cocktails in which we're still looking for alcohol. Child menu that disappoints for the price (14€ for a chopped steack and Andros compote without any effort of service, served in the yogurt pot purchased in store). Dessert good but really isn't worth its price (Raspberry picket and ice ball at 12€, we expected a real homemade dessert which was clearly not the case). In short, we hesitated between 2 and regretted our choice. Nice server however. A waitress who delivers his mission, no more."

"We were staying 50m away from this restaurant and had seen it was No.2 on TA for restaurants in Vars. We went twice purely because we didn 't have a great meal on our first visit and wanted to give it a second chance. On our...first visit I felt the staff were a bit rush rush and they seemed to be more attentive towards the 'regulars '. We ordered the soup to start which was very nice. My husband ordered the steak which he said was nice, our daughters ordered the Pierrade where you cook the meat (duck, pork, chicken beef yourself and I ordered the boite fondu. Unfortunately my dish was cold within 5 minutes (i don 't think it had been cooked properly and it was like chewing gum so i sent it back and it basically came back and looked the same except it was runnier. I didn 't eat it! The waiter asked what the problem was and he said someone else had complained about the same dish that evening as well. I was very surprised when we got the bill to see that they had still charged me for the dish even though i had complained however as we had had a busy day skiing i was too tired to argue with them! Instead we decided 2 days later to give them another chance and the whole experience was much better... The waitress (sorry I don 't know her name was very friendly from the moment we arrived. The chef appeared at our table with a few 'amuse bouche ' and apologised for the meal on the previous occasion and thanked us for giving them another chance. One of our daughters wasn 't very hungry and they kindly let her have the nuggets and pasta off of the kids menu. Our other daughter had steak which she said was very nice and my husband and i had the special which was cod with parma ham and pak choi served with sweet potato. It was lovely. If we stay in the same area again we would go back there ;"

"So this is a great little place to stop when you have been skiing/snowboarding in Vars and you want to enjoy some sun/hot cocoa/lunch. The owner is a local young lady who gives a fantastic youthful touch to the place. It has kept an 80s...feel and is conveniently located in the middle of the main rides up! The food is what you would expect from an altitude snack bar, not fabulous but not bad and the team is always cheerful! I love stopping there 2 or 3 times in the afternoon...to get a nice tan in between runs! Make sure to be there before 12:30 or after 3pm when French school breaks start or you will have trouble finding a table on the terrace!"

"The setting is sumptuous, the choice of abundant dishes, excellent cuisine. We discovered the mountain tourte based on beef and lamb chopped in a delicious pasta (I don’t tell you more to leave you the joy of discovery! while our spouses were enjoying their feet. My husband made me taste a piece of it... and I thought that when we return (because we will come back, there are other dishes to discover I might make my choice. Anyway! Discover, rediscover and rediscover. On your birthday!"
