"I'm a regular here, and I'm not the only one lol! This place is always packed, it's both a locals haunt and a place where well-advised tourists end up. I meet my friends here, I meet my colleagues here, I meet half the town here...And it draws out the locals every evening with good reasons!So, first off: Convenience. Just on the bank of the river, this place has it's own parking.Next, atmosphere: Clean shabby chic orientated decor, open central kitchen, usually pretty crowded, Italian chef.... This place has got the atmosphere where it should be for modern tasty Italian cuisine.Service: populated by hipster and punkette style waiters and waitresses, they might not be warm nor welcoming, but they polite and competent. The service is prompt and the wine suggestions correct.Food: my FAVOURITE part! I love Italian, and I just appreciate a place that does it right so much! Simple, clean, modern and tasty!Their pizzas are beyond a doubt the best in the region, special mention for the Bianca and the Cosi. Their pasta is mouth watering. But I always find the best on their menu to be their dish of the day (for example duck filet with apricots, tuna steak with Italian sauce, roast filet mignon...) and their veal schnitzel.In fact I am a regular to this place almost solely because of their veal schnitzel. Just gorgeous!Oh and their desserts.... Are just delicious, special mention for the raspberry-lemon-white chocolate parfait!Once again, this is not a budget eat-all-you-can low end pizzeria. The prices are midrange. But the cuisine is authentic and impeccable, the setting very pleasant, and it is definitely a place you will come back to after trying it once."

"O Papilles sprak ons meteen aan, niet te toeristisch en met een eigen stijl.Zo is het geen overbevolkt restaurant en heeft het een open keuken. De jonge vrouwelijke kok is enorm vriendelijk en laat indien gewenst de huissaus meteen proeven. Dit restaurant verdient zijn plaats in de top 10 van Avignon op TripAdvisor. De kaart is niet super uitgebreid, maar elk gerecht dat ik zag vertrekken uit de keuken is een topper. Zelf nam ik de gegrilde filet de boeuf en de kwaliteit van het vlees en de cuisson waren perfect. Ook de salade is heel verzorgd. De kok werkt met heel verse producten en gebruikt aardse smaken die erg goed bij elkaar passen. En de desserts waren overheerlijk. Bovendien zijn de prijzen klantvriendelijk voor een stad als Avignon. Kortom een aanrader!"

"Situated in a bland neighbourhood, and looking rather unassuming from the outside, you 'd be tempted to give the place a miss if you hadn 't been there before. That would be a monumental mistake! Pascal, the amazing Chef behind this 'Gastronomical Bistro ', is an Avignon local and a champion of the local cuisine (quite literally, for instance, for aioli ask him). And while the place would deserve a more impressive location, and perhaps a tiny bit more work on the decor, his passion is obviously food and wine, and so on your memorable evening there, he will woo you with a know how and ability to execute that you 'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere in the city. The man is a legend! There 's plenty of parking space but do not drive there! Pascal knows his wines, and it would be a sin if anything kept you from following his lead on that topic. He will find the perfect pairing of the day 's specials (no menu here), and you 'll spend a night to remember with an Avignon original and a consummate french chef."
