This place is amazing !!! They have a set menu and you get so much delicious food each dish was better then the next ! Appetizer, pasta , anchovies and dessert were all so tasty and different! Fantastic find in Lucca. We were here for a month and wish we had found this restaurant sooner. Delicious seafood , fixed price of either 25 or 35 euros depending how many courses you wanted) and that included a carafe of wine , dessert and coffee. I would describe this restaurant as a hidden gem. Delicious Ligurian fish dishes are served at a fixed price of €25 or €35 and you are served personally by the boss. There were several dishes per course, and they were so plentiful that I had to turn down the praised dessert at the end much to the boss's great regret. In my opinion, the boss was able to realize her dream of presenting her love of cuisine here in this beautiful city.

On the occasion of the Pianeta terra Festival in Lucca, I had dinner two evenings in this restaurant near the San Francesco Church. Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. I really appreciated the menu limited to a few varieties of dishes because it ensures the high quality and freshness of the products. The service is very fast and the owner is a very pleasant person who provides the knowledge and tradition of Genoese cuisine inherited from her grandmother. The owner, a very nice and empathetic person, welcomes guests as a good hostess by verbally explaining the two fixed menus designed for customers. The first course at €35 consists of an appetizer of 4 small dishes, a first course to choose between two proposals, a second course consisting of fried anchovies, dessert of your choice, wine, coffee and coffee killer. The restaurant has been open for lunch on Sundays for some time. Despite my various reports it is still listed as closed. Having said that, I went to L'Anciuia for lunch today and was a little surprised that the choice was limited to two set menus. The first course was €25 and included a tasting of starters and a first or second course and a small dessert. There was also a menu for €35 with an extra course. The starters were good, especially the cod crostini with potatoes. The first courses were quite good while the fried anchovies were super. The small taste of homemade apple pie was also very good.
