The first thing that I did when I arrived in Paris it was to drink a beer and we came in this bar, that also offer food.The place is almost near the Bastille and offer the chance to sit outside.The happy hour starts at 17,00

Highly recommend this restaurant for dinner. A good number of options which made it hard to choose. The cambaret, onion soup, Italian Salad and veal cutlets were all delicious. Excellent service too and made easy by an English menu despite our best efforts with French!

I have visited Paris for a number of years now and had snails on many occasions but never have I enjoyed the experience as I did here. These were the tastiest snails I have ever had.Tender and worth eating. The recommended wine was a dream and the salmon main just as good.The service was impeccable. Don't be put off by the look of this place. It resembles a sports bar that would serve very average food... BUT... the food we were served was of an excellent quality and the service efficient. The steak I was served was one of the best I have eaten in a long time. So...the motto here is "Don't be put off by the look of this place. Go in for a decent and good value meal

As others had described this place is more of a sports bar. Be prepared to sit in a crowd of 20 something males endlessly smoking cigarettes. We were in Paris for our last evening (a Monday) when lots of places are closed. We went here as it was in our neighborhood and the food was well reviewed. Onion soup was OK, lamb chops OK, roasted bone marrow OK - but nothing was exceptional.

OK, you're walking along Beaumachais taking in the sights and hunger strikes, this place was just what we needed. The service was great and friendly, and this is Paris!!! We ordered from the prix fix menus with salad, snails, salmon and duck, and desserts of tiramisu and chocolate mousse . . . ok, no counting calories today . . it's Paris! I believe this to be my first 5 star rating. We were recommended to go here by the receptionist at our nearby Hotel. We were certainly not dissapointed. The meal was a really memorable event. 10 people without a booking on a Friday evening no problem our waiter was efficient, helpful and entertaining. Great French dishes on the specials board. Those that ate escargots declared them the best ever. Reasonable prices and plenty to eat.

As mentioned in other reviews, appearances can be deceptive - not that it doesn't look pleasant but it does have a sports bar look. However, the waiter spotted us outside looking at the menu and invited us in - and we were very glad he did. The food was delicious, promptly served and piping hot. The creme brulee was splendid as was a couple of glasses of the house white! Very well priced, great, helpful service and I'd thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.

I selected this place from Tripadvisor and when we arrived I wasn't too sure about it. It looked more like a sports bar than a restaurant. We came there in the evening and there was a football game. Quiet noisy as well.The only people I saw working there was the bartender/waiter and a cook in the kitchen. The waiter took care of all the tables in there as well as tending the bar and was surprisingly efficient. Very friendly and relaxed as well.We had some burgers and the veal special. The food was very good, the hamburgers made from quality ingredients, the veal extremely tender and well cooked. We also had some cocktails and they were so and so.
