"we stopped there to lunch a little by chance after a hike. The facade gives the impression of a very guinated restaurant and we travel with a dog. We were very well welcomed and had lunch for a very reasonable price. A water bowl was also immediately served to the dog. The meal was exactly what we were looking for: an excellent salad of crudities in entry, homemade, a pork grill (prepared in the chimney) and excellent green beans (not those of an acid taste box), a cheese plate and a coffee. All in a pleasant atmosphere or attention is brought to the customer."

It's been three times since we eat there for the dirty ants. hummmmservice nice, pro. It's the first time we're here in the middle of the season. There was a waitress, nice but vulgar. She should stay in her place. fortunately the usual server was there. We'll come back, of course.

The concept tried to me because I don't like cheese: grilled wood fire it was ally. Unfortunately, it's a big disappointment. terrace with garden table made of plastic waxed canvas ugly. Unpleasant server. copy but not good, without presentation. cooking of the not controlled beef, forced to return to cooking. frozen fries. expensive for what we ate.

took the last minute because delayed on the road by an accident, we would like to thank the kindness of the server. After, food level, you find better on the golden mountain. The salad is really left to desired, the tripoux was good but nothing extraordinary either. Note that we don't price beef that is the specialty so maybe I would advise the future client to turn to him because in addition he is cooked at the wood fires. Speisekarte ansehen

after a good hike on the day, we wanted a beautiful piece of beef. hosts limit, unpleasant waiter it is of the plate throw on table. the taste of the products is good but know that if you take a menu you will not have what is described on the map. weight of the meat fake amount of derisory vegetable dessert immangeable no taste a horror, the bread is of the brief eve either you slam 120 euros to two and it will not be too bad but for 60 euros to two drop to go to buffalo or something like that.

arrived at Mont-Dore in a cold and rainy weather in the middle of August, what comfort to open the door of this restaurant found by chance! good reception of the waitress in a family atmosphere, certainly a little old with wood fire but classic. A safe value in the corner.Plat of the day: scallop of dirt (300 g) cooked with wood fire accompanied by a truffle (potato and cantal cheese) for 25 €. good quality ratio because the meat was excellent and well cooked. the morals of a holiday-maker who has been disappointed in the days of the last few days in the sun!

"If you want an authentic experience of the typical Auvergnat cuisine in the hinterland of Auvergne, this place is for you! Hard to find (GPS recommended), but worth the search. Despite its out-of-the-way location, be sure to reserve; when we went there was not a...free table the entire time we were there, so far has its fame spread. And with good reason. I ordered the potee auvergnate, the local equivalent of corn-beef-and cabbage for the Irish. It consisted of healthy amounts of potato, cabbage, carrots and smoked pork( all in a tasty broth. It was far more than I could eat; there was probably enough to share with my wife. The sign says we do not offer doggy bags but when no one was looking we brought home enough for another meal. The ambiance is superb as well; you are in a sort of chalet as if in someone's home. Despite the plentitude of the meal, we could not help ordering dessert, and were not sorry. The trip there over the col Robert and Mont-Dore etc was almost as good as the meal that awaited us. It is not far from Sancy where you can take a cable car to the top of the mountaiin, but we gave up on that plan when we saw the cable car disappear into the mist shortly after leaving the departure point. But we did go to the summit at col Robert with its desolate wuthering-heights like atmosphere. In this area, the alndscape seems to change every few hundred yards or so, so a very varied trip."
