"Two of us started with Moules Marinierre. We got about 6 New Zealand Green lipped mussels cooked very similar to escargot with garlic butter. Delicious and plenty there for starters especially when you mop up the garlic butter with the French bread. The other 2 pals had soup of the day which was vegetable. It actually was potato and courgette and although one pal was a bit dubious about the courgette they both enjoyed the soup very much.I had to eat a traditional rustic French dish and opted for pig's trotters. One pal had them also. Roasted in the oven they came (3) on a wooden platter with a large round of potato which I think was Dauphinoise and green side salad. We both agreed the trotters were cooked to perfection and enjoyable but, of course , boney.I believe the other two had steaks of some sort with a sauce. With drinks which included wine, beers and orange juice the total bill was 115 Euros for four of us.I had assortment of cheese platter but don't recall what my pals had as a sweet. There were no complaints from any of us with regard to the quality and amount of food.It would of been helpful if the menu was multinational as my schoolboy French is terrible. ( Well I was a schoolboy 60yrs ago and the memory is failing) The staff were very friendly and welcoming but didn't speak English. That is no complaint. It is their country after all but a menu in Anglais would have helped.I would happily use this restaurant again as I always eat traditional cuisine wherever I travel and we were not disappointed here."

Really good pizza's, quick and really nice staff. English spoken. Open most days (except monday). Be sure to check if there's a table available, most of the time it is quite busy.

I was visiting my niece who is living around Verdun, this is her favourite restaurant. Everything is home made, service is quick and very good, prices are cheap...and the cooking is excellent.

We arrived in this restaurant quite late and without reservation and with a dog, the hotel was suggested form the hotel, it was very full even if it was tuesday eve, so we stay in the veranda behind , but I have to say the food was very tasty. We had chicken and pork roasted in the wood-fired oven...we enjoyed.

This restaurant has an extensive menu and we only had pizzas as main courses. The Moules starter were lovely and I had the lightest Quiche ever. The pizzas were great and very large. Quite large quantities were packed up for us to take home by the helpful staff. This was not fine dining but everything was well presented well cooked and at a reasonable price.

Came here based on apparent positive review from TripAdvisor. Ordered only 2 pizzas and a lasagne. Staff seems overwhelmed, stressed and not helpful. Waiting more than 1 hour with 2 young kids for the food to arrive, and eating reheated "supermarket bread" in the meantime. Overall bill far too expensive. Absolutely overrated! Avoid and cross the road to the Buffalo Grill; you will certainly be served faster and cheaper over there!

We came here based on TripAdvisor reviews on the quality of the pizzas as we were craving for pizzas and were somewhat disappointed. The base was too doughy and there was way too much cheese so it was incredibly oily and hard to digest. The balance of ingredients just didn't cut it for us.It was pretty darn pricey for what we ate. We also found the house wine disappointingly bad. Only the dessert was nice. The service was polite and friendly but the waiting time was long.

We picked this place while staying along the road at the Hotel Prunelia, mainly because we couldn't find anything else which was open and looked suitable for children. The staff had no English, which is part of the charm of rural France, so we got by using google translate to explain what a vegan eats. To their credit, although the waiter looked fairly dumbfounded at the concept, what I got was pretty good. The (veggie) kids got by with a veggie pizza as well which was good. Can't fault the wine either.Atmosphere was fine, it was pretty hot (no aircon) in the conservatory with a nice view of the road outside . . .

"(French below) Do not be seduced by thematic restaurants and bars in the beautiful center of Verdun. A 10-minute walk from the city tourist office takes you to this charming authentic French restaurant. We called to make a reservation on Saturday night and a table was free when the next option along the road was entirely reserved. So we did not have what to expect, but we were not disappointed. The menu was varied with three menu options. 22, 30 or 50 euros. Each of these options had three different options for beginners and main courses, plus one dessert of choice. I went for my partner's thing on the 30th, which also included a cheese board. While we decided, the biggest fun, but I arrived Pate and bread. More bread continued to arrive freely in the evening, which is something you do not always find. I had a big starter of seafood that with the mouth amuse, bread and dessert would probably have been enough food. The main courses were excellent and beautifully presented with potatoes and vegetables, but not to any new kitchen. And a fantastic cream burned and a large, but rich chocolate mousse with cream to finish. To find such a dining room at these prices, and in a suburb, not the city center, was incredible. I can’t imagine that I’ve never eaten such an excellent food for anywhere near the prices we paid, even less at a time of cost of living increases. Unfortunately, the opening hours are limited by a staff shortage (thank you Brexit! , but they are open on weekends if you visit.
