I had the guinea fowl for lunch, having had the same the previous day at Le Pot Beaujolais (a Lille institution). Chantecler was MUCH betterAnd an interesting starter of goat cheese and apple, and profiteroles afterChantecler was a much better meal and the end price was the same with a glass of wineBasically it is a tradeoff of the character and atmosphere of Le Pot versus the much better cookingBoth are good value (more wines on offer at Le Pot)

First to arrive at 7:30 on a Friday night, we found this small restaurant empty, fairly brightly lit, with basic tables and chairs.By 8:30 the place was buzzing and we were were enjoying an excellent meal. We chose St Jacques risotto and mushroom velouté to start, boeuf bourguinon mains, and cafe gourmand desserts, all excellent and just under €60 for two. Wines range from €18 - €45.Choice is limited, quality very good, and the restaurant seems to be well patronised by local residents. Highly recommended for great value high quality cuisine in Lille.
