"We dined here on a Friday evening. The starters were excellent burrata with aubergine purée and a ravioli with mushroom cream sauce. Wines by the glass were good. My partners main was beef stuffed with cheese served in a bed of celeriac mash. I couldn’t make up my mind so asked the waiter and selected what turned out to be macaroni cheese with ham. Both were ok but nothing special unfortunately. There was a problem with my partners meal that got quickly rectified by the waiter who was kind enough to provide a complimentary drink as an apology. 2 courses each with 2 glasses of wine each €103. Unfortunately wouldn’t rush back based upon the menu selection."

Such a fabulous selection of cheeses and wine pairings. Pleasant atmosphere and clean facilities. Don't miss trying the bruschettas one will fill you up even though you'll still be craving more.

A gem, managed to get a table at 9.55 on a Monday and wow it was worth the run before closing! Great wine, cheese lovers dream! Ravioli a resounding delight! Highly recommend amongst the possible tourist trapping restaurants locally!

We enjoyed a delicious meal and great service. We appreciated having some different menu options, rather than things you see at every other French cuisine spot. For starters we enjoyed the burrata with pea gazpacho, as well as ravioli with mushroom cream. Licked our plates cleans! Also for the evening we had the beef skewer with teriyaki sauce, and truffle Gouda shells with ham. Turned out to be one (of many) favorite dinners in Bordeaux.

A very small restaurant where we managed to get a table after a walking tour. Entered tired and hungry and left reinvigorated and sated. Lovely service and ambiance but because it is so small, booking is essential. We were lucky as it was off season but during our visit potential customers were turned away. The starter of beef tartare with cheese and egg confit was outstanding. I had the cheese macaroni and my wife the ravioli with cream cheese and nuts. Both were excellent. Will definitely return to Le Comptoir Fromager, as this is an unusual restaurant with a winning concept
