"it would have been rude not to have dined in le farniente fourquais, literally 25 meters from where we had dug our boot in fourques on the canal de garonne and it is a jewel. her set menu offered a selection of three starters, four netzen and three desserts. with the flow we ordered another fresh fruity cocktail: roys rum-based, my vodka-based and tasty. (it was the hottest summer day so far in France; after a height of 36 degrees, at 9 o’clock it had up to about 30! then, over and over the three cures, came “Tapas – divinely deep-fried vegetables, fish and goat cheese, directly from the pan. for beginners I had the black pudding kebab with confit ananas, an inspired combination; roy had the delicious tomatenteer. for the net we both went to the tender and tasty black medallion in honey, with cheese spinat and fryed. apple pie (him and ice cream (for me – a boule of cocosnus, another of passion fruit – rounded off an excellent meal. including half a liter rose, it came to 45 €."

come boarding on a boat with sand deck, we were pleasantly surprised by this guinguette on the canal, which served us a delicious day cuisine. the welcome is warm, without way. excellent piece of beef from a local farm, boudin parmenter hachis succulent, and a good local wine, buzet, has delighted us all the length.

they prefer to make a reservation, this place is well valued from good reason and quickly meets. the menu du jour offers 3 courses with a selection of 3 courses for each cure all for 20 euro. even if the full service does not suffer and our host. could not have been hospitable anymore. eating is traditional farewell in nature, with steaks, duck, truthahn and pintade on the day we dense, all well prepared and tasty. a limited weinliste still has enough for most tastes and budgets. we would return anytime.

first visit on a Saturday noon but not the last! nicely located on the canal ( behind the church) , looks like a large paillote which gives a very pleasant holiday atmosphere. The service is warm and efficient. The menu at 18,50€ (wine and coffee included) with 3 choices for both the entrance, the dish and dessert is simple but very tasteful , copyy and well seasoned (compound salad , pintade/frites, cherry ice with whipped strawberries)The cocktails we tested in apero were delicious. The establishment was complete and it understands!

"This is definitely a restaurant for a special occasion. Everything about it oozes style and quality, from the building itself through the décor, the service by a knowledgeable Maitre D and of course the food. Located along one of the main roads leading out of the town of Marmande, it had only been open just over a year when my wife and I visited it in September 2012. There were two menus available for dinner, a four course menu at 42€ and a more extensive one (menu saveurs) at €60. We opted for the latter and enjoyed a splendid seven courses cooked expertly by Annabelle Boat. We were told that Annabelle had trained in Talence, near Bordeaux and at restaurants nearby. An amuse bouche consisted of melon with mint, sautéed fish ball with creamy vegetable emulsion and a chopped vegetable pate. The starter was pan fried foie gras with a crumble of red fruits and rice flower. This course was highly unusual and exceptional. Next there was a dish of squid horns stuffed with finely diced vegetables cooked in stock and accompanied by octopus. The whole thing was set off by a magnificent fish sauce. A fish course of monkfish served with crispy polenta, tomato, garlic, basil and olive oil which also came with deep fried fennel. The crowning glory was milk fed veal which just melted in your mouth and served with a highly reduced jus, carrots and onion cream. A selection of cheeses is included and we had Roblechon and Tombe. The sweet course was a trio of ice cream in a soufflé coat, a very tasty rum Baba and a chocolate coffee mousse. There is an impressive range of coffees depending on your preference for light, medium or strong. There is a good list of Bordeaux wines and some from Provence if you prefer Rose. Most are in the price range of 15€ to 25€ but there are more expensive bottles if you are a wine connoisseur or want to try out the more prestigious labels. All in all a very fine dining experience produced by a young chef with a real love for her profession."
