"Lovely little spot with very friendly staff, quick service and delicious and very reasonably priced food. We had the pizza paysanne and a burger, the burger patty tasted like top quality steak and everything was lovely and fresh. The pizza was delicious and the dough was not too thick, and with generous toppings. Seems to be a very popular spot as it was busy when we were there, but we managed to get a table despite not having a reservation. Thanks for a great meal!"

"French restaurant located in the Fontainebleau forest, on the edge of a road that crosses it, known for its savoyard specialties but also offering other dishes (spotted in black curry, or rabbit with mustard), à la carte or in menus, some accessible from a number of guests The frame immediately evokes the mountain and the forest, from the outside to the inside, recalling the mountain chalets, and blends perfectly with the surrounding forest. Decorating (supervised sausages, utensils) contributes to immersion and disbursement, and the tables are covered with a vichy tablecloth that completes to immerse in the atmosphere The welcome is warm and the service is good, even if it tends to slow down in times of affluence. We can be installed in the dining room, of modest size, but better heated in winter; or in the terrace, covered and closed, but allowing to pass the cold in winter: a good reason to enjoy savoyard specialties. For those who want to taste other specialties, it's better to keep its doudoune or table coat. In any case, we must salute the courage of the waiters (2 people for the whole restaurant) who bring and rid the dishes in t-shirt and jeans, especially on the terrace, with negative temperatures outside "

"Sur le retour de vacances, nous avons quitté l'autoroute pour déjeuner. Nous avions réservé la veille heureusement, jour de la fête des mères ! Accueil sympathique même si la direction avait l'ai un peu débordé. Le risotto chorizo saint Jacques était très bon ! Le café gourmand également. Service un peu long mais des excuses au moment de régler la note. Le rapport qualité prix est très correct."

"Ce Dîner à l'ambiance jazzy (chanteuse amie du resto fut excellent. Les mets sont délicieux. Je félicite la cuisinière (80 ans !!! , son fils et le personnel. J'ai apprécié le foie gras mi-cuit, la pièce de bœuf est tendre, le feuilleté de fruit est léger, croustillant. Je reviendrai avec plaisir."

"This restaurant is now called La Locanda. We went there on a Friday evening with my darling with reservation in this Italian restaurant located not very far from Fontainebleau, in Avon, but reached in 5 minutes top stop by car from the city center of Fontainebleau. The service is nickel, the shaved skull gentleman has received us in the most beautiful way, in a relaxing and tame setting, with a smile and a welcome worthy of the greatest Parisian tables, we appreciate. On the menu, the different dishes are either served in input mode or flat mode of resistance, in summary, in small or great hunger mode. We decided to go for 3 dishes, a salmon salad, a pesto burrata pasta dish and a Margherita. The first two were very tasty, special mention really for the salad that was very well seasoned! Small hic nevertheless for pizza that was not sufficiently raised in tomato and basil, too much mozzarella... I don't care about the experience I've had. I recommend without hesitation this Italian restaurant!! Already haste to go back if I ever come back to Fontainebleau."
