Le Loft - Speisekarte

Pleasant outside seating area on quiet square. Magret du canard was nice, standard selection of French food. Good staff, mostly only spoke French.

Good selection on the menu and very nice ambience sitting outside. The food was OK but nothing spectacular (Escalope Milanese) but service was quick and waiter friendly.

We went there with some of my colleagues for dinner. The waiter was really helpful, but slow to arrive to our tables. We were starving by then. Probably it is part of the strategy... Nevertheless, the food was great and we enjoyed ourselves very much

One of the few options in Versailles on a Monday. Selected a main course from the board hoping for a pleasant experience. The "haddoc" was serve in a creamy sauce on top of boiled potatoes nothing special. Good dessert cafe gourmand. Friendly service despite the few guests

I had a VERY AVERAGE nicoise here and had my mobile phone stolen to add insult to injury.I didn't go back again during my stay in Versaille.There's a tasty Indian restaurant just down the road (left of the Loft) called Le Shandrami. There's also a lovely French restaurant called Le V in the market square.

English menu is available, however ordering in English is challenging. Asked for a Schweppes bitter lemon, received a Tonic, asked for a cappuccino, received an espresso without milk. As positive: I was warned that the starter I have ordered is a big portion. Found some pieces of rotten iceberg in the tapas.

Last minute booking by a local hotel for 18 of us. Mains were amazing, drinks flowed freely, desserts were to die for and the staff were the loveliest we could have asked for. On relaxed French time but looked after two of our party including my son who threw up in his sink (allergy, not their food!). It was the highlight of our holiday, including a huge birthday firework! A must visit.

On business in France staying in Versailles. Strolling one evening looking for restaurant for supper I found Le Loft, excellent food, attentive staff, personal recommendations from owner. menu is dual language, French and English. The owner is half French and half Itailian, he recommended the tiramisu as a desert and it was fantastic. I also ate there a second night and enjoyed a large salad with toasted bread on top with warm goat cheese. This was followed by a lemon tart prepared in the restaurant which was also excellent.

We pre booked a table trough a service called the fork (trip adviser) where we could get 20% discount - as having celiac intolerant I wrote this as a comment in the reservation. Arriving to a almost empty restaurant Saturday at 20.00 we where met in the door by a very arrogant dude asking first smiling if we made reservations - and on yes and discover that it was the celiac we where almost ask rudely to leave since it was a big problem for them- strangely enough for the first time ever I have been ask to leave due to my allergy. And to the the dude -- a salat do not contain a wheat flour or at least try for crying out - I GET THAT YOU DONT WGAT TO GIVE 20 % discount but blame it on an ALLERG...
