Better if you reserve first, as always woth good reputation restaurants. Great lunch, fresh cooking products. A must to go back again.

Nice little restaurant in Sete with special plates from Sete, only open from Easter to September. Be sure to have crash AS they don't accept credit cards at all! The Best restaurant in the Area.

This cute little bistro on a quiet side street in the Corniche neighbourhood really offers the best food you can get in this lovely town. It's especially good for local fish and seafood and the deserts are excellent. Generous proportions are the norm and the vegetable complements are perfect. Lunch and dinner were equally good. What a lovely experience. The proprietors are so lovely, talked us through the menu with absolute charm and enthusiasm. Lots of ingredients from local friends and farmers. Food was delightful. As per lots of other reviews the chiporones are essential, delicious dish served uniquely and with a lovely salsa. Really enjoyed the fish, and possibly the best fruit salad of my life!!

I had a wonderful evening meal here with my husband and in laws. The food is simple and delicious with generous portions, and they have a dedicated vegan section of the menu with several options. The atmosphere is lively yet they have screens between the tables so it's not too noisy. The service was outstanding Charlotte and Adam really looked after us well. I would highly recommend Le Mistral and look forward to my next chance to visit.

There really is something special about Le Mistral. It is only open for six months each year and served hyper local, freshly grown/caught food and fantastic local wines. Amazing chipirones (fried baby squid), razor clams in parsley, stuffed mussels and the best squid ink risotto ever! All delivered with the wonderful charm and hospitality of Ludo and Julie. We were staying for just one night in Sete with with family including our niece age 2. I did a quick scan of trip advisor and noted Le Mistral was number one in the ratings. We went for a wander and by chance found the restaurant. I didn't think we'd get in but the staff were lovely and made room for us. The dishes were large tasty portions (maybe a bit more seasoning required for our tastes), and the service was superb. Next time we will book ahead to make sure we get a table.

The restaurant deserves its positive reviews. Yes some reviewers had issues with the vegetables to the side namely courgette and the consistency but do not let that distract you. We had the mixed seafood grill the tuna steak and both were outstanding. Good wine and dessert selection too, the dessert which was a tart was amazing and I am not a dessert fan... Service was prompt and friendly, just note that urs cash only. The setting in side street on the terrace is perfect for a balmy summers night. Will return!

Best meals of the holiday with the charming staff at this little place. Booking a must. Closed Mondays. Cash only.Ate here twice, both times in the evening, and could have come back for everything else on the menu. Crispy squid - he's right, once you eat one, it's finish for you! The cod with its little crust of aioli - delicious. Risotto with ink of the squid - brilliant! A blackboard of choices that you will be talked through in French or in English (or both!) as you require, and recommendations from the host that are fully justified, both on food and on wine.Can't recommend highly enough.
