"Lovely Normandy restaurant, fairly close to my sisters home and about 20 minutes from Giverny. The Restaurant Gabriel looks “French” from the outside but more Scandinavian modern in the inside with one large room with 60’s wood and Formica tables. Though the room is large it is quite and somehow manages to feel intimate with 60-70s music playing softly in the background. The service was impeccable and the presentation very pleasing to the eye. They promote the products of the region through local producers so everything is fresh. We were each served a delicious cold green pea soup served in a parfait glass. I ordered one of their Menu options, they have several along with a few Ala Cart options. My starter was a shrimp cocktail, again presented beautifully and very tasty. My pork dish was divine and presented on a bed of an incredible chopped mushroom dish. My menu included the appropriate wine accompaniment, which was the only disappointment of the evening – light not full bodied. My sister ordered the filet mignon, again the presentation was lovely however she found the meat touch (she thought it fresh beef rather than aged). Her starter was an absolutely fantastic Foie gras. My brother-in-law’s selection was the steak tartare which he said he would order again. Another lovely evening in Normandy. Price range 30E to 75E including wine."

"Its serves traditional french food of a better than average quality and the service is also better that average, however despite its name, don't expect to be overwhelmed by the number of fish dishes, salmon, cod and coquille st Jacques, nothing special.The only real problem for me is that it seems only to attract the older customer at 60, I was probably the youngest by quite a few years. What's happened to the rest of the population?"

"there was accidentally stopped because we didn't want to eat on autoroute a13. only a few miles from here is the city gaillon. chose the restaurant because we saw that it was a fleeting business with what seemed native. we took a place outside. the owner who speaks very little English was polite. the prices were very reasonable and that was excellent. there were 6 of us and all were happy with the meals. the desserts were made home by the owner and were all delicious. as a final touch, the owner brought us a free calvados for those who wanted a drink after eating. most thoughtful. taking into account everything, a big random sound. our compliments to the man who owns the place!"

"stay for two nights with the aim of decompressing to green and hiking. We have come to the train station’s feet and have gone quickly, there are signs indicating direction everywhere, impossible to get lost. The welcome was great, a very good gentleman gave us all the information necessary for the proper course of the stay. the staff has a great experience in the profession and unwavering professionalism. The breakfast was wonderful and very hearty: a half-branded, crispy and barely out of the oven and homemade jam, butter, four mini pastries, coffee at will as well as a freshly pressed orange juice. we had the chance to have a room with exceptional view on the top floor (room 6.) the garden is beautiful and the silence is total. Thank you so much!"
