"We were very fortunate to stumble across this restaurant while over-nighting in Saintes. The staff were welcoming friendly and gave great service. The menu has a choice for each course as well as a chef's suggested menu of the day, which is waht we...chose and we were very impressed. The dishes were simple but delicious and made from freshly sourced ingredients. We were the first to arrive but by the time we began our meal, the place was filling up with locals and French families, always a good sign. They have a good range of wines to choose from, though being extremely hot weather, we opted for cold beer. There is aircon indoors for those really hot summer temperatures. We would return if we find ourselves in Saintes again."
