L'embellie - Speisekarte

Lovely restaurant with seating outside. Very good choice of items on tech menu and good wine list. The magret de canard was magnificent. Thank you.

although it was not imposing outside, everything about l’embellie was wonderful. we visited on Monday afternoon if they were not expecting much, but they delivered; taste, presentation, service, a great wein recommendation (which was expected).

after a visit to the castle maucaillou we had a good brasserie dinner here, it looks small but has parking and eating and service were great. eating restaurant in france has quite expensive, but this brasserie has good eating. to very cheap trips.

On the main road between Bordeaux and the north of the Médoc, we've recently stopped twice for lunch. The basic lunch menu is between 15€ and 18€ with many other possibilities on offer. The staff are friendly, with a keen eye for detail, and the food is excellent. In summer there is plenty of room on the shaded terrace though, if it is really hot, it may be cooler to eat indoors. Worth reserving.

This place has everything what you would excpect from a great restaurant: a very warm welcome, excellent food (and wine, of course), friendly personnel. Non-meat eaters (as myself) will find a few alternatives (fish dishes), but the menu is really designed for carnivores (my friends loved it). The place is nicely decorated, but I found the atmosphere slightly too loud for a Friday evening after a hard weeks work. I would go back there any time and highly recommend this place. You should really try their rhum!

A excellent restaurant. From the moment we arrived we loved it. The decor is lovely with nicely set out tables. The welcome from the staff was fantastic, and really made us feel welcome. We sat in the courtyard & had cocktails before going inside for our meal. The menu has something for everyone, and the food was gorgeous. Although we are English speaking with limited French vocabulary, the staff didn't mind and were very helpful. We have visited numerous restaurants in France over the past 15 years, but this is now our favourite. You must visit.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I discovered belatedly that the Medoc wineries are closed 12-2 for lunch, and since we were hungry, we randomly entered the nearest cafe.We were very pleasantly surprised! It was quite crowded, but there was 1 table available. We appeared to be the only foreigners, a good sign. We each opted for a different plat du jour - pork for me, and chicken for her. Both were superb. And the local house wine was excellent. Service was unhurried, smiling and thorough. And the decor was bright and cheerful. It put us in a great mood for a tasting visit to Chateau Baudan (see my review).2 thumbs up!

From the moment we arrived the welcome was warm. The maître de was lovely. The menu du jour was only 16E each and wad delicious. I had a cucumber and mint gazpacho whereas my husband had a cauliflower pure with what tasted like crispy bacon....Very creative. Main was fish for me with a kind of mash potato and my husband had a turkey parmentier. Dessert was amazing especially the chocolate one. This is a lovely big restaurant with a spacious outdoor area and I think a lot of locals go there for their work lunch. Service was a bit slow was the only thing that bothered us. I particularly loved the daily commentary on the chalk board!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hosts when we rented a property in Listrac for 2 weeks. We ended up eating here three times throughout our stay! The staff in the restaurant were delightful,, they spoke little English and we have little French but they appreciated our efforts and we were able to order beautiful meals each visit using a combination of pidgin French, gesticulations and a number system for how steaks were to be cooked! The lest lunch menu is excellent value with nothing scrimped in terms of quality, quantity or standard of service.
